Get her to come watch you train/fight. Hopefully she'll realize it isn't as bad as she thinks...

It's your choice in the end.

I think there is information on USA Boxing's website about the safety of amateur boxing. It's full of all kinds of statistics about boxing vs other sports. And surprisingly enough, cheerleading is more dangerous than amateur boxing as far as reported injuries are concerned.
Do some research and come to her with some information showing that it's safe and that should be enough.

Like GP said, it's your choice in the end. Granted, she is your future wife, but you should come to some sort of compromise since you are actually doing something to stay healthy and fit. Would she rather you sat around eating junk and drinking beer? That's far more dangerous than boxing.

She should understand if you love it and get her to see the positives it brings and how good it makes you feel. Tell her 10 year olds and girls do it haha.

  10. Definitely show her USA Olympic Boxing Team clips, they are all class.

Explain to her it's a technical point scoring sport.

Get her to watch you train, that could impress her.

Also pull out the Ali clips, Muhammad is all class, people love him and he definitely represents whats good in the boxing world.

Change your tampon, set down your purse and tell her you don't need her permission. I'd say you're a grown man so u can make your own choices but if you're making threads like this, I dont know.

Show her amateur boxing and she'll see it is largely human fencing. Show her the stats and I'm sure amateur boxing is safer than american football, rugby etc I'm sure there must be less concussions etc The ko ratio in amateur boxing is terrible.

She obviously cares about him. He sees the sport he loves, she sees stuff like this in the papers.
