Thanks for the responses, some interesting if differing opinions. The general consensus seems to be that if Graham could frustrate him for the twelve rounds he'd win but if Benn landed anything significant it'd be game over.
Unless Benn gets him early, Graham easily..... probably by stoppage. That said, Herol had the ability to bomb on occasion, he did it against McCallum and Kalambay twice, plus the fight with Jackson that was all but in the bag.... and his last fight against Brewer.
Graham wins easily up to 1990. If they met in the mid 90s, Benn probably knows enough to get to the Bomber late.
much as i love benn i'll take graham to outbox him.i think he'd outbox eubank too, which was the reason eubank avoided graham and never denied it.
Pre Watson, I think Graham DOES a Watson. After Watson I think Benn realises he needs to be a bit cuter. People seem to think of Benn in this fight as some sort of slow motion Captain Caveman who HG would just mesmerize. But Benn was fast and a lot cuter post Watson, he would get to him and he couldn't half wallop. That's why Graham remains the best Brit never to win a world title.................because he could be got to.
at middle i would go with graham by late stoppage as benn would of been to wild and graham would of moved and boxed him but there is always the possibilty of a jackson type stoppage from benn. at super-middle though benn by mid round stoppage
I think Graham would have beaten Benn at his best.It would be the same as the Watson fight,i see Benn getting stopped. The punch that sparked Graham against Jackson would have done the same to anyone,i dont think Graham had a weak chin.
