nice piece if you want to get attention and stir up some debate - but you talk a lot of garbage.

Max Kellerman was disrespectful of Mayweather, so was Shane Mosley. Floyd wasn't acting scared, he was acting like he could not believe what was happening. This is one of the greatest exponents of the sweet science we've ever seen( people thought that he'd be tested by JMM but he kicked the Mexican warriors ass - nominally at 144 pounds by the way, not 147 like you say wrongly. Then you say he not only took the fight at 147 but couldn't even make that, mate get your facts right...! That is completely incorrect. The fight was at a catchweight, not welterweight, and Floyd weighed in at 146, JMM at 142. Did you even watch this fight, follow the action? Lazy, sloppy journalism. )

He had just come out of self imposed exile to heal his damaged hands and fought a guy who beat Pacman twice (but got neither decision)...yet all the people in the ring after the fight could talk about was Pacquiao, Mosley, etc. Give the guy a break - why can't slimeballs like Max Kellerman (and yourself mate) give this fighter some respect? What happened to giving the man his due and then moving on to the next fight? Max Kellerman perfectly followed Larry "Vodka Breath" Merchant in jumping straight in the ring after a virtuoso performance by Mayweather and proceeding to completely disrespect the guy. Look, why can't you people just appreciate his ability without being so vitriolic? It stinks of jealousy, envy and spite. This guy is up there with the greats as is Roy Jone Jr, Bernard Hopkins. Why can't boxing journalists just appreciate their great talent for a moment?

What would it take for you people to appreciate the talent of Floyd Mayweather? This is probably the most complete boxer I have ever seen and I started watching boxing in the early eighties. Look, journalists need to get attention and I think you all seem to know that Mayweather will respond to criticism in an awkward and insulted manner. But you are damaging boxing. This man should be held up as a shining example of what a boxer can be. Passive sport fans need to be told and shown just how good this guy is, we need boxing journalists to sell the fight game not just produce lazy arguments to try and get attention like some inadequacy that is envious of the talents of the brash subject they seek to destroy.

If there is still a sport of boxing in years to come the people will reminisce about the great Floyd Mayweather Jr. They will recall his movement, his supernatural speed, his impeccable technique, his brash nature, his pretty features. Like Muhammed Ali before him, the fans of the future will be disgusted at the treatment of this one-in-a-billion superstar that was truly ahead of his time and mistreated by the ignorant. Floyd Mayweather is someone that true fight fans appreciate - he is someone that inadequate, attention-seeking, small minded bigots will always try to undermine. Shame on you. History won't record Max Kellerman or Frank Gonzalez Jr, but Floyd Mayweather Jr will always be remembered. So keep writing Frank....:fire
