dirrell won the fight...froch did NOTHING...so saying dirrell ran or didn't do enough is bull****...it was a fairly comfortable win by dirrell...similar to the last malignaggi fight...he outboxed him and hurt him without getting hit much at all....now he is a sore loser hahaha...like anyone herew ould not ***** about that fight if they were dirrell
I thought the fight could have gone either way, but the 2 reports on it I read in The Ring and Boxing News both had Froch as the winner. Im surprised so many think Froch is so overated. In his last 4 fights 3 of his opponents were undefeated. He beat undefeated Pascal who is now WBC LHW champ, had his 1st defence away to Taylor and then beat undefeated A Dirrell, and his next defence is away again to Kessler. On the way up he beat Reid and Magee and stopped Tatevosyan in 2 rounds who had just taken Bute the distance. Like him or not, thats very good form.
Take the union jack glasses off and watch the fight again my friend. Dirrell won a UD, but was robbed.
Not according to Boxing News and The Ring mags reports (I thought it was close & could have gone either way). But The Ring dosent wear Union Jack glasses.
People are full of revisionist **** about this fight. Froch bodyslammed Dirrell the in the SECOND clinch he initiated. The second. And that wasn't until a few rounds deep into the fight. It wasn't out of frustration at being held, it was frustration at being unable to do anything. Likewise, Dirrell went down three times over the course of two rounds. Once due to balance and twice to try and draw the referees attention to Froch putting him in headlocks and leaning on the back of his neck. Also, before anyone complains about ducking low, please find me a rule from the actual boxing commission stating that it is a foul. NSAC doesn't have such a rule and I'm guessing the same was true of this particular fight. Bottom line, you hit a legal scoring area or you don't throw a punch. Guy ducks low...how bout you using a ****ing uppercut? Froch is a ******. People who say Dirrell didn't do enough to win don't mention that Froch did even less. I'd have been okay with both guys losing, frankly, but to say Froch somehow deserved it more than Dirrell is ridiculous.
I agree she was looking real good. But, Direll won that fight and it was clear. If you think otherwise you're probably a Froch fan in denial. I'm definitely a fan of his girl though.
Before this fight all the Froch fanatics were going off on how Froch was going to knock Dirrells head off and Dirrell isn't on the level of the "Great" Carl Froch. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . But insted everyone saw Dirrell easily out box the Frochazoid and make him look like the god awful boxer that he is. So then the Froch fans used every excuse you can think of as to why Froch looked like such ****. Dirrell is a ***** he ran Dirrell didn't trade with froch Dirrell didn't do enough to win or my personal favorite . . . . . . .Dirrell fought negative Anybody who says Dirrell didn't do enough to win needs to explain what exactly Froch did to win. last I check you don't get awarded points for hitting air all night. The Froch fans are just mad because they talked all that **** about how Froch was going to destroy and humiliate Dirrell and then when the fight came Froch was the one who was made to look like a joke.
Neither of them looked good, and they both did alot talk beforehand. There was as you say the talk of how Froch was going to do all you say and also alot of talk of how Dirrell was going to put on a boxing clinic. Neither of them did what was said. I thought the fight could have gone either way but the reports I read in Boxing News and The Ring both had Froch as the winner. It was that type of fight
Only if you don't look more closely at them. Starting with the 4th most recent fight: Albert Rybacki - Undefeated? Yes. Also 38 years old with only 15 pro fights going into this one. That's some real tough competition. Jean Pascal - A solid win. Unclear how good Pascal really is, since he fought very middling competition at SMW and hasn't fought the best at LHW either. But he's decent enough. Was stupid enough to let Froch draw him into a war though, and lacks the power to get Froch out. Jermain Taylor - Winning on the scorecards and basically beaten by his lack of stamina, more than anything. Had already been brutalized by Kelly Pavlik, then beaten again by Pavlik, then Froch had to take him the full 12 and pull out a Hail Mary win in the final seconds of the fight. Abraham hospitalized him the very next fight, in addition to outboxing him. Andre Dirrell - 18 pro fights, also against middle competition , no belts, fighting in his opponent's back yard in his first fight on a stage anywhere near this big. And he made Froch look dumb, and lost a close split decision he probably should have won. Froch very nearly got beaten by a green prospect who didn't even fight for half the rounds. You've gotta be a special sort of mediocre to pull that off. Froch is just plain mediocre. He's had a combination of good luck and fortuitous matchmaking thus far, but has yet to get into the ring with anyone who didn't have some serious flaws he could capitalize on like youth, or a weak mentality or a seriously flawed gameplan. He's not going to make it through this tournament unscatched however.
