    How is being green a style. Valero i think is very overrated. I give DeMarco a very good chance of winning, but we will see how it goes.

    EDWIN VALERO
    He was born on December 3rd, 1981 in Merida, Venezuela; and is known by the nickname of “Dynamite”.

    He began his career in 2002. He is unbeaten with a spectacular and impeccable record of 26 fights, all of them won by knockout, and 19 of them in the first round. He is a southpaw.

    Valero is a two-time world champion, as he won his first Superfeatherweight title on August 5th, 2006, winning by technical knockout in 10 rounds, when he defeated Panamanian fighter Vicente Mosquera. He made 4 successful defenses.

    He became World Boxing Council World Champion in the Lightweight division, on April 4th, 2009, when he defeated Antonio Pitalua (Colombia) by technical knockout in 2 rounds.

    This will be the second defense of his WBC world title.

    ANTONIO DeMARCO
    He was born on January 7th, 1986 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. He lives in Tijuana, Baja California.

    He began his career in 2004, his record is: 23 wins, 17 of them by knockout, one loss and one draw.

    DeMarco is the WBC Lightweight Interim World Champion; he won the title on October 31st, 2009, by defeating Jose Alfaro (Nicaragua) by technical knockout in 10 rounds.

    This is going to be a very interesting fight. DeMarco is an abnormally slow starter and Valero starts like a bat out of hell. If DeMarco can weather the storm (I think his chin is solid), He'll likely be able to rebound and build some steam to a very close home stretch.

    Too bad Arum didn't manage to put this one on the Pac/Clottey undercard as well. Could have been a really great card despite PBF/PAC falling through.

    You have to admit that Kid Diamond is a better boxer than Valero as far as fundamentals are concerned. De Marco looked really good in his last fight.

    Can't wait! It's gonna be all out war from round 1. DeMarco gonna try to box but you kno the guy is gonna get into some vicious exchanges

    good boxer vs. puncher scrap. valero has yet to fight a worthy opponent. demarco already beat the tough kid diamond. valero's been around awhile so i disagree that he's a green fighter, but he is too power hungry and is very susceptible to get exposed by a good boxer. maybe demarco might be that fighter. would of liked to of have seen valero fight funeka, khan, katsidis, juan diaz, someone that is recognizable and battle proven.

    Take a look on boxrec at most of the recent KO victims of Valero; most of them solid chins and have never been KO'd. Look at a lot of his 1st round KO's....they weren't in the top 10, but a lot of them have never been KO'd and have been in w/top competition and went the distance.
    Just because he doesn't box like Mayweather doesn't meen he can't box. Why so much hate for Valero? After he KO's Demarco within 2 rounds; everyone will be saying Demarco was a nobody. NO ONE AT 135 OR BELOW CAN MAKE IT 12 ROUNDS W/VALERO!

    Excellent fight - I'm really looking forward to it.

    DeMarco is a skilled fighter who can box very nicely but I think he's a little too easy to hit. He hasn't shown any chin issues and it might not cost him against most fighters - but if Valero is able to land his best shots (and I think he will) there's only going to be one outcome. Valero by ko.
