You bot both are available to fight. Williams should just go on national television and call PBF out. That would at least put some pressure on him and have people talking about it across the boxing nation. Go interview with Brian Kenny and talk made trash or something. The best buisness move for PBF to make is Sergio Martinez though at 154. As beating Sergio Martinez would possibly give PBF the PFP #1 spot back and give him way more negotiating power when they look to renegotiate the Pacman fight in the future. The buzz would be more with PBF then Pac. Now seems like the perfect time to steal the spotlight back with Pac locked in to Clottey. After that fight Mosley or Berto winner would be available making Mosley, Berto or Pacman available oppoenents giving the top pfp even more leverage when dealing with Arum.
The thing is Williams is not really that big to get a Nationwide audience or someone to put him in front of a nation wide audience. Yeah he can do small interviews butt that would not pressure floyd the least bit. If he does a nation wide CAll out, like going to ESPN, different websites, yeahoo boxing, and everywhere well then yeah... But then that would just be weird.
Im surprised he hasnt chosen Valero. He has an ENTIRE COUNTRY behind him plus a commie president=$$$$$$
Yeah thats right but sometimes PBF does the calling out, which is why he is going to call out Calderon after Calderon fights Viloria........
On the other hand Floyd should be the man and call out the skinny tree trunk. This would be the best fight to see to forget about the super fight.
Why r people so to see this fight in March? Williams just got done with a grueling fight at 160 lbs!!!!! Can Williams still make 154, much less 147? I would rather see a rematch with Martinez and a fight with Pavlik than a Floyd match... Do so many people think Floyd is so good that he should have to face natural supermiddleweights to find competition? Or r there so many Floyd haters that want to see Floyd lose? I personally think Floyd should fight another tuneup (southpaw like Collazo or Quintana) and negotiate with winner of Mosley/Berto or Pacquaio/Clottey in the summer .
i would love to see this fight, but in all honesty, paul didnt do himself any favors getting a big fight at 147 by ***** slapping my boy winky around for 12 rounds AND beating sergio. its gonna be tough for one of these top welters to agree to dance with him now...not that it was easy before. paul's ability to weight jump is both a blessing and a curse in that regard. but if ssm is serious about fighting the best then he should take the williams fight after he beats berto (assuming he can/does). i'd like ssm/ptp about as much as pbf/ptp
