I don't believe Clottey can win this fight, but he'll give Manny some tough rounds. It's not going to be target practice like has been the case with Pac's last 4 fighters. This fight will finally break the string of left hand dominant fighters that Pac has taken on, and he'll finally be facing a good defensive fighter. This isn't a PPV worthy fight, but it's a good fight to get Pac prepared for Mayweather.

Yea a couple of tough rounds would be good to see out of this bout. Out of all the Welters out there, though not nearly as skillful, I think Clottey is one of the most imposing. He might be able to walk Manny to a corner/ropes a couple of times. What he will do when he has him there is another story, but you think Mayweather is still in the plans?

His style? Not really. His physicality and underrated speed? Yes. The danger in this fight is Manny suffering a mental letdown and overlooking Clottey, but that's about as likely as Clottey doing a SRL impression.

I do think Clottey is good enough to take some rounds. Don't see an upset though.

Clottey is dangerous against any fighter. and compared to Arthur Abraham's style Clottey is Muhamed Ali!

Clottey is a more accurate puncher than cotto, especially in combinations,i think clottey will pull off the upset, cotto had to slam clottey down because he was soo frustated, did u all stop to think that clottey softened cotto up for pacquiao.Pacquiao won't be able to walk down clottey like he did cotto,u know it would be funny,if this fight ended up looking like clottey vs corrales.

Clottey's sometimes explosive counterpunching could be a prob. Straight and lead/rear uppercut will get through.

Thing about Clottey is that when he decides to let his hands go, he can be pretty devastating. He doesn't pack power but he's accurate and his hand speed is impressive at times.

Yep. And Clottey likes to answer. This matchup might be better for Clottey than some people think. Pacquiao can't keep himself from leading and exchanging. There's a chance Pacquiao could be responsible for creating problems for himself by prompting Clottey to unload more often than he otherwise would. Clottey is athletic enough to sweep around the ring at higher speed, unlike Cotto.

Clottey will give Pacquiao problems but I see hiim being on the defensive alot. If Pacquiao gets tries to turn it into a boxing match he can find himself losing the fight.

Clottey if he learned from the Cottey fight can take Pacquiao out ...

    With that being said ...

    Pacquiao dec. Clottey (with controversy)

Cotto supporters went on and on about Cotto's lackluster performance against Clottey as being a result of fighting a guy who could "make anyone look bad". The thing is, they were probably right. I don't think Clottey's style will give Pacquiao problems per se, but Pacquiao probably won't look as spectacular as he did against Cotto.

If only Clottey had knockout power.... it might make this fight interesting. Despite Clottey having the huge size advantage, I just don't see him being able to hurt Pac.

Clottey has a deceptively quick right hand and he'll hit Pac with it a few times, but it's nothing that Pac won't be able shrug off. Clottey simply doesn't throw enough, he doesn't move his head enough, and his footwork is sloppy. The guy is a sitting duck for Pac to move in and out on, and tag him with shots all night, while Clottey just covers up in his turtle shell.

Clottey is a tough guy so I'll say he makes it to the final bell. No controversy here though, because it will be a dominating win by Pac.
