JW i like both Joe and Nard.went for Joe only because hes not American but Hopkins was keen to avenge his loss to Joe and was willing to travel to Wales to try to do it.

This is like when Baldomir beat Judah and ruined the Judah-Mayweather fight only for them to fight anyway, but much worse. Sure Green isn't a huge name in the US, but he just KO'd Roy in two mins, you can't expect anyone to take you seriously when you fight the one who got KO'd and call it a super fight. It's more ludicrous as Green's people thinking Green vs Holyfield is one of the biggest fights to be made worldwide right now.

But you will watch and pay $50 to buy dog**** PPV on mainevent ? such as some of Choc's fights against bums and stuff like Mirovic-Hopoate etc etc
I wouldn't pay to watch Bhop-Jones but i would certainly download it the next day and watch it. I'm sure you will watch it Leon.:yep

The man was 43 yrs old and many many people think he won the fight. His stamina couldn't keep up with Joe's amazing workrate, it's as simple as that. As i said earlier on my scorecard Joe won the fight 8 rds to 4 (115-112) but in no way at all was Bhop disgraced. He knocked your boy down with a beautifull straight right hand.
I wonder how a 43 yr old Calzaghe would fare against a 36 yr old Bhop like the one who schooled P4P no. 2 at the time in Trinidad ?

Did your boy Calzaghe cherry pick for 90% of his career iyho ?
Give Bhop a break will ya. He humiliated Pavlik when it should have been Calzaghe doing that but Joe fought the shot to **** Roy Jones. Bhop is 45 this month for christ sake if he wants to fight Roy at this stage i say let him. He is a legend of the sport and doesn't need to prove anything anymore. Let Dawson fight Bute as they are the young guns and future.

I used to buy a lot of PPVs but now watch them mainly at the pub. Only ever bought one Mundine PPV.

I may dl Hop-Jones the day after depending where my ratios are at. But it'll probably join a pile of fights I've got that are marked 'only to be watched in case of emergency', ie Valuev-Holyfield, Luevano-Dib etc

Leon, put Holyfield-Valuev on. Watch the first ten seconds and you've seen the fight. After that it's just repeat + nausea.

Well we will never know the answer to that question Frankie because 8 years ago Hopkins priced himself out of a bout with Calzaghe he then waited a few years to face the lighter hitting Felix .

Calzaghe fought and beat everyone who was put infront of him sure he could have taken on better comp and was willing to do so but if your ducked what can you do ? and fyi Pavlik was offered the Calzaghe fight but refused so Bika took it ,anyway i'm sure there would have been outrage if Calzaghe would have Lacy'd him but seeing as it was Bernard Hopkins it was considered an outstanding feat .BTW imho i reckon Calzaghe should have retired post kessler fight as he was starting to slip then these fights with Jones and Hopkins were just retirement money fights just as this one is between Hopkins and Jones .

Why didn't Calzaghe fight Pavlik instead of Roy Jones ?
So Joe was ducked all those years he defended the lightly regarded WBO belt in his backyard was he ?
I love it when people say "he beat everyone put in front of him". What matters in boxing is NOT your record BUT who you have beaten in your career and who has beaten you. Yes Joe beat Jones and Hopkins when they were in their 40's. Good one Joe.

Trinidad was a prime P4P no.2 who was a massive favourite to beat Hopkins. That was a brilliant performance by a 36 yr old Hopkins. If you don't think so then you are extremely hard to please.
So Joe fighting rubbish all those years was everyone's else's fault other than him was it. Was it Glen Johnson's fault also that Joe pulled out of their fight 3 times ?

Joe was struggling to make weight and moved up to L/heavy besides Pavlik had already ducked him once thats why i suspect . BTW you sound like you think Calzaghe waited for them to get old until he fought them when we all know Roy never had any plans to fight Joe earlier in his career , and we all know that Bernard ducked Joe in 2002 .
