Floyd by UD, or late TKO. Not sure if Mosley has the work rate to trouble Floyd, he probably has the power, but will he land clean? The tactics Mosley used against Margarito where he let his combinations go, then grabbed and smothered Margarito's work; I can't see working against Mayweather.

NA anthonyW thats spot on, Margarito cant box for **** and his usual tactic of take a shot to land a shot didnt work against Shane cos he hits too hard.

I just think that with Floyd no ones ever gonna land on him often so when you do you gotta hurt him and i think Shanes got that power.

Without power you cant beat Mayweather.

They are negotiating between themselves though.

No Top Rank/Arum to deal with it.

I thought for a while that Mosley would give Mayweather his hardest time in the ring, possibly pushing him the full 12 rounds. But I just can't see Mosley having the movement to trouble him.
Pacquiao offers Mayweather his biggest challenge in my opinion. If that bout ever happens, I see Mayweather picking up the win, but I do think he will struggle for the first 4-5 rounds trying to cope with the speed adjustment.
If either Mosley or Pacquiao can land reguarly, they may be able to test Mayweather's chin, but can they knock him down or out?

It's not Boom Boom? Because he said Mayweather's next fight would be Matthew Hatton. So obviously he wouldn't honor that bet. Either way he's supposed to be gone.

True but Mosley fought a better version of Cotto and SSM beat the guy who beat Cotto last January.

Do you think that this Berto news hasn't been known for a couple of days and they have already been working on the Mayweather fight? Here are some recent events:

    1. Schaefer tells Sky Sports on Sunday that Mayweather has decided on
his opponent and an announcement would happen within 2-3 days.

    2. This morning, multiple sources in media claim that Mayweather and Mosley are close to a deal for May 1.

    3. People cry that Mosley is overlooking Berto

    4. Berto releases a press release in the afternoon announcing he is backing out of the fight.

    5. Meanwhile, preparations continue for the Pacquiao/Clottey press conference tomorrow in Dallas, TX with Cowboy Cheerleaders in tow.

    6. Schaefer announces that he will work diligently over the next 24 hours to get the Mosley and Mayweather fight done now that Berto has "just" decided what he was doing. Luckily, Berto has the full support of HBO, Golden Boy and the Promoters (phew)

    Future developments

    7. We talk about Mosley/May all night and not about Pacquiao/Clottey

    8. Morning leak that fight is confirmed followed by a formal press release an hour before the Pac/Clottey press conference.

He has the skills to beat a brawler in Mosley, but I am just curious to see how Mayweather would react once he is in the ring with someone who really wants him bad and who has the strength and power to inflict damage.

Can't wait for this fight to happen now.

Its called fan pressure, GBP was actually considering this fight a serious possibility and threw the idea out to get fan reaction, but because of fans so hard negative reaction to it they had to throw the idea out. If we remained silent about it, the Hatton fight would of happened. If you also read my post in this thread, I said Mayweather deserves props if Mosley does come off.

and besides your poll was flawed, the poll questioned if PBF will fight Hatton next, not if we accept the bet.
