Why doesnt Shane just take on a quick tune up on Jan 30th???

Why? It would be meaningless. Risk getting cut or injury for a a meaningless sparring.

 

That or he pulls a Maskaev and loses.

 

In the old days fighters were always in shape and subs were easy to aquire in these situations. The list of replacements is pretty limited unless you wanna see Shane whack some shelf stacker out the ring.

Even in tune-up fights, there's no guarantees you won't get injured.

 

It's an unnecessary risk.

 

That will happen if Floyd denies Mosley's 50-50 purse split demand.

Unfortunately it's illegal to own a Panda where I live. I don't think China lets them outta there sight for too long.

 

Did Mosely really demand purse parity? There is no way that he is getting 50/50!

 

It's one of those things where the "correct" answer is after the fact.

If Mosley loses or gets cut or injured, it was a stupid move.

If Mosley gets in some good rounds, it was a good move to not enter the Mayweather fight coming off that inactivity.

If Mosley doesn't take a tune-up but looks sharp against Mayweather, it's "who needs a tune-up?" If not, it's "he shouldn't have been that inactive".

 

Mosley is chasing money at this point, he doesn't care about the lay-off...

 

Nor does he need to risk injury in a meaningless fight.
