Which great strategies has he implemented to get such an amazing reputation?

Or does it just stem from the fact he's caught out a couple of cheats?

He guided his fighters to two annihilations of world champions, he caught a cheat, and he is doing all this after having a stroke. His reputation is well earned.

But is 'Punch Margarito in his unguarded chin and keep moving' a great plan? I came up with that plan to beat him too.

:lol:in all seriousness 1)he has simple but effective strategies 2)he's able to get the most out of seemingly aging fighters who have been written off 3)he's a ****ing badass

Well for a start he keeps things simple, he's not like some other trainers playing to the camera's/taking credit etc.

You're also forgetting that a trainers job also includes the build up to a contest, he got Sugar Sane into the the best shape he'd been in since the first ODLH contest, the old sharpness, dedication and speed was back. If that doesnt count for something, then nothing does.

Also what happened to his son Rock Allen, I marvel at that guys amateur fights on youtube, yet he's not fought in nearly 2 years despite having a perfect record.

cant really tell how good he is just by watching him in the corner, but he had some good wins with his fighters. he seems to know what he's talking bout in interviews too. he hasnt brought up a fighter from scratch tho.

Nazim comes into my gym every once and awhile, and he is just one of those guys who has presence. He also always looks like he has a twinkle in his eye

And it doesn't hurt that everything he says is pretty much Buddha-level ****.

I don't know but in my mind Hopkins had the best performance of 2008 vs Pavlik and Mosley had the best performance on 2009 vs Margarito so I wonder why Nazim's reputation isn't even greater.

    Nazim is the man!

When reading or listening to any of his interviews, you'll find it damn near impossible to disagree or pick out mistakes in his points. On top of that, he has an awsome way of getting his words across, like in the corner at the Margarito fight, his advice was incredible:

"You landing some good shots up top, but we gotta remember how they started. We setting them up with the body shots. You see this guy aint used to getting it back at the body. Take that jab, keep popping him up, STAB him in his heart, rip around them sides. We gon show him how he gotta slow down. When he hit the pedal, there aint gon be no gas in the car at the end of this. Aight. Your combinations Shane, nobody in this division has hands as fast as yours. Run them combinations, and knock the grease off this dude. And it's swim without getting wet."

Ya feel me? You can't tell me having a guy like that in your corner won't win you fights. Like B-Hop said, anybody can pick up some mitts and claim to be a trainer. Nazim on the other hand is a teacher. He'a scholar of the sport.

In fact, thinking about it now. I may just replace The Prince, and put Brother Nazim in my avatar
