of course not since the plan was to fight Pacquiao in the first place.

However I think Haymon knows that Berto was likely to beat Mosley, which is why Mosley vs Berto is off instead of having Floyd fight Mosley after that fight.

Wether its the plan or not, Mosley has not fought since January 2009. Thats a long time off and I hope he's still sharp. Theres no way to tell but I have a feeling he is evne though Floyd will win.

oh this is just wonderful, the ******* excuse factory is already rolling the assembly lines. Mosley has went from being a beast to a feeble old man, ****ing wonderful.

If he fought Paul Williams you guys would say that Williams would have to weight drain, if he fought Bradley you would say Bradley had to bulk up, If he fought the winner of the Super Six you would cry that the Super Six champ was to exhausted from the tourney to be a real challenge, etc.

Judging by Mosleys last fight and how much he wants to fight Mayweather, this will be very dangerous for floyd, credit to him for taking it, if it goes ahead.

When did Mayweather refuse to fight Mosley in his prime? I remember Mosley passing on Floyd, but not vice-versa.

Really? So you're saying that Haymon somehow knew Berto was likely going to win, and then used the destruction of Berto's homeland along with the death of several of his family members as a cover to get Mayweather a fight with Mosley? And why would Berto go along with this? This seems very far fetched.

:patsch So you're saying that Mayweather caused an earthquake in Hati to cause Berto to pull out so he can take on Mosley?

You also left out the fact that he's tried to fight Mosley in the past to later get rejected...If you going to blame one side at least be fair to mention that at one point in time that they both turned each other down!

    You cant be serious!:verysad

I'd give it to Floyd if he signs this fight. It is there now and have no other reason not to. It is now or never.

Its two birds with one stone. you can change the word "likely" for "quite possibly" if you like but the principle remains the same. This way Haymon makes sure that his star pupil gets the mega fight against Shane and at the same time Berto who would likely have gone through with the fight can instead use his time to take care of his loved ones.

I don't think that if Floyd vs Pac had not fallen through, Mosley vs Berto would still be cancelled.

Just an opinion based on circumstantial evidence.

I think it can only help floyd. But still Shane will come into this one in tip top shape. Plus lets not forget the **** goin down with Roger and that Shane has Nazim in his corner.

Yeah Floyd made Pac back out of the fight and then stomped his foot and caused a quake in haiti so Berto would back out at the last minute. He is an evil genius aint he? Now he'll create natural disaster to push the fight back even further so SSM will be even more rusty.

I just did not think Floyd really had any plan on fighting Shane at all. He could have agreed to it back in September if he really wanted to. But now, he has no excuse why not to take it.
