March was the initial request but was rejected by Roach.....stating PAC would need more time to rest and have a good long training campt to prepare for Floyd. They requested a fight later in the year after the elections....eventually they did reach an agreement for March.

The Blood testing that was INITALLY requested was NOT olympic style testing and PAC agreed to the intial demands. The fight was moving forward when Floyd requested a revamped Blood testing requirment that is now very well known. The whole dispute of drug testing hit the fan when Floyd revised his inital requests and came up with Random blood testing all the way up to the fight...it was change to 2 days, then 14 when PAC requested 30 days then 24 days before the fight for random blood testing.

I'm telling you that PAC and Roach don't like Floyd and don't feel they need to concede to his demands to make this fight...Espcecially when PAC's rep has taken damage due to the accusations and allegations spread without cause by Floyd and his camp.

Manny doesn't want to give in to anymore of Floyds demands b/c he acted without merrit in spreading the lies and then had the nerve to request demands of blood testing in order to make this fight happen.

The fight should have been done! Without the demands of the blood testing. Why ask for blood testing for the very first time ever when Floyd has publicly stated PAC isn't **** and he'd have NO problems beating him?

Floyd agreed to the ridicoulous weight penalty by PAC b/c he knows he'll make that weight without any problems....PAC requested that stipulation in response the equally ridicoulous demands of Olympic style testing. Tit for Tat it seems. Floyd is smart.....he didn't want to refuse the weight demand b/c no one would have bought it that he couldn't make the weight and sticking to his original demands places the ball in Manny's court so MANNY would have to reject the demands and the blame would fall on his shoulders for the fight not happening.

Arum is a liar.......all promoters are....I can't justify his actions nor can i justify Floyds.

Do you not think 14 days is a reasonable compromise for a teaspoon of blood?

Do you have any proof to back up your claims? The only realistic dates for the fight were May and March. Those are the dates that Arum proposed to Mayweather. Given that the elections take place in May, any fight after the elections, would've had to have taken place in July at the earliest. August or September would be more likely. Now who the hell is going to agree to a fight that far in advance?

Also, weeks before they started to complain, it was leaked that Mayweather had requested olympic style testing. This was supposed to be administered by the USADA. The USADA are the ones who decide the cutoff dates, not Mayweather. Team Mayweather never changed the parameters of the drug testing until Team Pac started complaining.

May then March were offered by Team Pacquiao. Mayweather agreed to May then Pacquioa's team changed it to March in which Mayweather also agreed.

Olympic style blood testing was in the contract right from the beginning.

Mayweather and De La Hoya don't like Arum, but they were still willing to work with him.

What Mayweather demands did Pacquiao give in to?

The fight would've been done if Manny didn't refuse random blood testing. Maybe he believes Pacquiao might be on PEDs and he feels this is the first time ever that his potential opponent might be on them.

Mayweather agreed to the 10 million dollar penalty, because he knew he'd make the weight? Are you saying pacquiao didn't agree to random blood testing, because he knew he would fail the tests?

Any reasonable person can see why any athlete might want better PED testing in sports. Can you justify Manny's refusal to accept random blood tests and while leaving 40 million dollars on the table and destroying his reputation?

All the claims I've made I've read on different boxing sites throughout this entire ordeal. The claims you've made I've never knew exsisted......so if you have links I'll be more than happy to re-evlauate my stance. I've read on more than one boxing site that PAC agreed to the intial demands for random testing that were suppose to be radom, but they were urine testing....after PAC agreed to those Floyd asked for Blood testing and Manny agreed to 3 blood test which Floyd then requested Olympic testing that was radom and that's when the negotiations halted.

Way to be original. Maybe you should form your own opinion instead of repeating what an article told you. :-(
Clottey is a very good BIG ww with only 2 losses (aside from the dq) in very close fights

Here is an article from December 13th where they discuss how Team Mayweather requested olympic style testing. In this article, Roach says they welcome all and any testing.

Team Pac didn't complain until Dec. 22nd

I don't keep links. There are people who have posted links, articles, and videos about the subject on this website anyways.

Pretty sure Pac said he would take a blood test directly after the fight. Sounds to me like he really feels taking blood before a fight will weaken him
What difference does it make if he takes the test before or after the fight?

My bad for putting words in your mouth kinda. You didn't say he was cherry picking directly but just by questing this fight is almost saying it. Either way the fight fans know that clottey is up there among the top WW. It doesn't matter that his best win was against judah. Styles make fights and clottey has never had a bad performance, just bad luck. He is as respected as any opponent at 147 as I said before.

Roach claims taking blood will weaken him for 3 days. That's of course a bunch of bull****. He was given a 14 day window anyways by team Mayweather. Do you really believe that an elite athlete who is considered one of the best in a full contact sport where blood loss is normal needs 3 days to recover from having a a teaspoon of blood drawn?

I'm questioning why the fight is on PPV. This isn't a bad fight, but it's not PPV worthy IMO. Clottey has no fanbase, no marquee wins, and he's coming off a loss to a guy Pac just destroyed. I think this will be a difficult fight to sell to the public.
