im still going for maidana, i believe he has just enough to get in and land a big one on khan at some point around the 5th, he'll be very cagey early on and go for a counter, remember khan was wobbled by a glacing jab from barrera, maidana will do his homework even if he gets put down in doing so.

I think it's brave in as much as this is his first fight with Golden Boy and I am sure it will be in the US. All eyes will be on him and if he doesn't perform well, he will be forgotten so to go in there with a fighter that is the sort of fighter that can give Khan problems (ie. a big puncher) you can not deny is brave, it'd be much better for him to go in against a name like Paulie where he could show off his boxing skill and not worry about getting hurt.

Having gone and had a look at Maidana's fights (other than the Kotelnik and Ortiz fights I'd already seen), I think Khan will walk to a 12 round UD he is a very crude fighter and I think Khan will be able to hit and run for 12 rounds....however that's not going to impress the American's so maybe he will as suggested by another poster go for the knock out, if he does do this at the very least, love Khan or hate him you have to admit that it's brave to try and KO a big puncher when you have a glass chin.

I don't think anyones creaming there pants about it personally especially given that it his , his mandatory but credit where it is due, Khan could have ducked this fight and he hasn't. In this sport almost every fighter gets accused of ducking someone, even ducking ****ing Junior Witter of all people, I am glad to see Khan isn't going to shy away from his weakness. We need fighters like that in boxing.

Its a definite positive step no doubt , yeah this guy aint all that but he can hit and 9with one obvious excpetion ) Khan does seem to have been avaiding hitters. So yeah this is good , I'm really glad he didnt vacate , I'll be supporting him in this fight and I hope it means the training wheels are off for good.
