don't see a knockout at any rate but johnson has finally lost that little step. neither is a one punch knockout artist per se (despite the andrade fight) but bute's movement and workrate will trouble the current johnson the same as dawson did. he'd outbox him to a cautious decision over 12
Bute by ko. When he knows an opponent, he's tough to cope with. He had sparred a couple of days with Zuniga the year before their fight and the last bout against Andrade was of course a rematch. Since he did many sparring rounds with Johnson, he would start very strong. Most important, Johnson has faded recently. Some people in Montreal are talking today about the possibility of a fight between these two.
Dawson dominated Johnson last time out but Dawson is excellent. I'd love to see that fight even if Johnson has slowed down. The fight would lose some of it's meaning if it's not for Bute's title tho. (168lbs) I hate catchweight fights...
Well that is the beauty about boxing in Montreal, some of the best fans in the world. Considering, dont you think they would come out in droves no matter who Bute would face?
Bute looked great in his last fight and Johnson gave a sub-par performance so you got to think that at this point in their careers Bute would get a decision.
oh for sure they would. i would just prefer to see it against someone in the super 6 or a top tier contender in his weight class. that or have him move up and take on pascal, cloud or dawson
There was 13,858 people for his fight against William Joppy. So yes, he can sell tickets fighting anyone. lol
