Same. I was trying to figure out how it made sense at all.

Just imagine. If this fight happened, Pac wouldn't be the star he is today. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional because this fight single-handily put him on that hot PPV buy status..

It's extremelly relevant today, it shows Floyd's lack of thought process, he was willing to throw away the Hoya lotterey ticket just as he threw away the Pac one. and why is that?? He's scared of being beat. So for Money Mayweather it really isn't about the money. It's about fighting weak opposition because in his own twisted mind he believes that an undefeated record against lesser opponents will someday mean something. When in all actuallity fighting lesser opponents is all he will be remembered for. BUT atleast he's stepping up to fight Mosley, even if he should have done this years ago, maybe he will change his ways.

The only reason Oscar has been fighting as of recently was to promote GBP. He is done. He sacrificed his body and record to promote GBP. He is done. He's golfing with "Cheetah" Wood right now

I don't think Floyd was afraid of getting beat in the rematch (He'd beat DLH again IMHO). My take is he bowed out because the talks of a rematch were met with an astounding "Who ****in cares!!". The press pretty much summarized this was nothing but a meaningless money fight for both to **** fans.

I still can't believe he didn't take this fight. I did mention however that Hoya needed to be fair at the negotiating table. Apparently, the fight fell apart over the purse split. However, because he didn't take that fight, Pac was able to get the fight. That really boosted his marketability. It also proved that he could compete at WW which is why a fight between Floyd and Pac is even feasible today.
