Froch didn't look his normal self between rounds 1-9 as well. Difficult fight to score but i just didn't feel Froch landed enough or imposed himself enough.
It comes down to this: People who value boxing, think Dirrell won. People who value "bravery" and "fighting like a champion", think Froch won. If the two fought today, it would be Dirrell 12-0 or KO inside 8.
I agree. It was far from a wretched fight. It was a very interesting clash of styles: crude toughness vs. pure, unrefined talent.
It was a disgraceful decision. Dirrell was clearly robbed. There has been a lot of revisionism by the UK boxing press and Froch fans with this fight.
Who the hell would want to take another look at that crap fight. Dirrell showed he has no desire to prove he's a good boxer & Froch is just not that good.
It's funny, but as time goes by, there's one thing I consistently notice about this fight. It seems those that have Froch winning the fight.... his fans, the judges, neutral parties ( I thought Dirrell did, but that's not my point)....those people don't really point out what Froch did to win the fight.... they point out what Dirrell did not to win the fight. It seems to me that they were more interested in punishing Dirrell for his spoiler tactics than rewarding Froch for anything he did. I also find it interesting that Dirrell's stock has remained steady, despite his performance that night, while The Cobra's has taken a hit, even though he won. Most seem to think that if they were to fight again, that Dirrell would win fairly handily.
If they fought again Dirrel would be more confident and would stay and hit froch more, much more, then he would get KO simple as that. Dirrel survived the fight by fleeing for most of it. Interesting to see if he trys same vs AA and how people judge him after that.
Dirrell won the fight with his clean punching and then lost it with everything else. Fight's over. Froch won because it was in England. Dirrell's the better fighter and it will be shown by the end of the tournament.
Froch won because it was in England? In case any of your dumb ****ing Yanks don't realise, the ref nor the judges were British. So stop with the hometown decision bull****.
