That may be the case - a boring ugly nothing special fighter - but he still has the experience / durability / skills / power - to give Haye his toughest fight so far.
april 3rd and if you dont like it in the MEN dont ****ing go .simple as that ,all therse southern faries need to getthat chip off there shoulder and realise that manchester is the home of boxing
I was thinking that, I think it's the fact the fight is to small for a stadium to sell but a bit to big for your average 2k holding venue. I cant see him selling 22k in Manchester though.
It'll be interesting to see how they they set the MEN up for the fight. IIRC they have a number of setups for boxing depending on what capacity they want, up to 23,000. I wonder if a) it 'll be set up for the full 23,000 and b) whether Haye-Ruiz can fill it without giving out "2 for the price of 1" tickets like they did for the Barrett fight.
Well that would be impressive - because no-one has done that to Ruiz. Not Holyfield. Not Vaulev. Not Roy Jones Jnr. Ok - he was KO'd in 16 seconds by Tua - but he was caught cold by a murderous puncher - but that was clearly just a blip because he has proved himself durable throughout the course of his career.
I think people underesitmate how much more experienced Ruiz is than Haye as well in these heavyweight fights. He will find a way to survive and spoil and make it a tough fight.
If Haye can get stoppage at any stage against Ruiz then I'd call it a good nights work. Ruiz has beaten and taken some pretty good fighters the distance.
Exactly. Alot of Haye fans - think he is so good - so use to blasting people out that it is obvious he will do it to whoever he faces. But he is fighting a level above now with these World Class heavyweights - and his last fight proved he cant just go in there and dominate these guys as he likes. He was lucky to get the decsion last time. :deal
Valuev's power is severely reduced due to the distance his punches have to travel. Holyfield wasn't, in my opinion, as a huge puncher as everyone seems to think at Heavyweight and Jones' perfomance against Ruiz was based around skill. Haye can hit a lot harder than everyone Ruiz has faced since, in my opinion, he lost to Tua.
