Personally I want him to win the Lonsdale outright and have a couple of defences of the European title that he should win, against decent oppo's. This is from the BBC website, however they should have checked out their facts as Juergen Braehmer IS the WBO champion and NOT waiting on a shot at the WBO title.
Cloud will be too fast, and as Cleverly seems to love a tear up he would beat Cleverly up on the inside. Cleverly would probably be stopped by Cloud BUT Woods showed that with a nice jab and toughness you can stifle Cloud a bit. So if Cleverly can put in a disciplined performance, and with youth on his side (in regards to him putting on a better showing than Woods, doubtful IMO due to Woods' chin and experience) you ne'er know. But IMO Woods performed well against Cloud, but it was nowhere near enough to win. Cleverly is probably too green at this stage to even pit on as good a losing effort, let alone win (and Cloud isn't even the best in the division, going by how it stands as of today) and I feel he should get some more building fights (Byron Mitchell? Garay two fights down the line or something like that) under his belt, and would probably lean towards Warren taking the WBO route ten fights down the line. But I suppose Cleverly has seen Khans rapid rise to an ABC trinket and thought 'I can do that.' fair play to him, and wanting to fight Cloud shows he has balls.
woods was dominated by cloud though, i think cloud only lost 2 rounds due to taking a breather, the word **** comes to mind when i picture nathan cleverly across the ring from cloud
Thanks mate.... although I now feel rather lazy for not looking myself. Not very excited about the Williams/Chisora fight after prizefighter debacle.
Cleverly is still quite ****. I'd like to see him win the Lonsdale belt and defend the Euro a few times. He needs a few tough contender fights. Guys who will hit him and make him think. If he doesn't tighten up his game then he might as well forget ever making it really big.
clweverly is very, very good. A genuine contender, in the old school sense. however, some fighters need to be managed. I don't think he will be better than Cloud - but he won't be far off. He neds a good four or five fights, at least a rapid rise in competition. Cleverly is a very good technical boxer, not a crazy natural talent. He needs to develop - he'll be at the top longer, so why try and get there too early?
cleverly i think is a good prospect but is not ready for cloud yet, guys i m new to ESB and have only followed boxing in the last 6 years so please don t savage me!!!!
