Come on man, i mean Malignaggi is a good LWW at his best but has never fought at WW so we dont know how good he will be, and just like Zab he always comes short when he steps up, at least Zab is faster, stronger,MUCH bigger puncher than Malignaggi even at these stage.

Well ****, why doesn't Berto just move down to Light Welter-Weight?

Hm, isn't that date for Berto a little to soon?

Although the prospects of a Malignaggi fight doesn't interest me in the slightest, there aren't too many options available for Berto to explore. By pulling out of the Mosley fight, he has effectively removed himself from the bigger picture, for the moment. It's almost to the point where he might just want to get some work in after what could be the longest layoff of his career.

Malignaggi's comments about Berto were something like: "He's going through alot so let's leave him alone & not talk about it at this point in time"

  7. Dibella trying to protect Berto...Collazo, Urango, Forbes, and now Paulie...seems like he doesn't want him to fight any legit welters.

Is Berto-Paulie at JWW or at WW? Either way this is a crappy move. Paulie doesn't deserve to fight for a Welterweight belt and Berto is fighting another JWW.

    He's better than Gomez. Easily.

Alfonso Gomez couldn't be a bigger can if he was sponsored by Campbell's.

We still doing this whole "Zab Judah is deserving" bit?

What has Zab Judah done to even deserve a title shot? At least Paulie is coming off a big win against a known opponent. Judah is 4-4 in his last 8 fights and his biggest win against 20-6 Ryan Davis.

Malignaggi is above those 2 guys.

Must be good to be Malignaggi these days, every WW champion seems to want to fight him. Cintron is a decent fight for PW but I really wanted to see him fight Pavlik.

Paulie has no business north of 140, none whatsoever...

Berto should fight either Collazo, Aydin, Alvarez, hell...even Junior Witter is available now at 147....

The only way I see Berto-Malignaggi happening is if they put it in New York or Atlantic City....where paulie gets a decent pay-day....and Dibella who has more pull up there can maximize profits...

I dont think so....if anything with Berto public sympathy will make him more sellable especially if he turns up in Haiti on the news, and they talk about how he lost his relatives and his biggest shot careerwise.....
