I love this article, not only does it insult MoneyMay, but it does it in an intelligent way. check it out............. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-to-put-on-a-fresh-pair-of-panties-and-fight just thought I'd share this good reading! lol:hat
God I wish I was a billionair cause I'd just give Floyd an extra 20 million and say, okay Floyd now you got no excuses, fight Mosley cause thats the fight we all want to see anyways. I mean **** this guy needs to realise that its not normal in boxing for non heavywieghts to make over 5 mil a fight. Its only these crazy popular fighters that can make that money. He's one of them. But most of his last opponents have been the other crazy popular fighters of his generation and unless he's fighting one of them he's not going to be making 20 million dollars. The only one out there right now is Paquiao and he already screwed that up. If he doesn't fight some one and make big numbers doing it he'll get completely rolled thenext time they try to negotiate. If he doesn't fight at all --> same result. The only way he wins this is by fighting mosley and winning. He would own negotiations next time round. He has to accept that the hard road is the price he pays for sticking to his guns the last time around. But like most hard roads the payoff is greatest if you succeed.
I will have to say though, I disagree with the article. I wouldn't be happy to see mayweather get knocked out. Mostly because it would be a life time achievement and ring brilliance gone down the drain. I don't much like the guy but before he left the lower wieght divisions he was a brilliant solidier of the sport and probably the best boxer I have everseen. Its sad to see what he's become. I can't really blame him for fighting the guys he's fought (baldomir asside) but cause he could always argue that he coudl have made twice as much money fighting them as he could have fighting better fighters but he also waisted his prime at a lower wieght division when no one knew who he was. Now his legacy depends on people remembering him for his work at higher wieght classes which is basically him fighing past its and no hopers. A lose to the first good fighter he faces when he's clearly avoided other good fighters and much of what he accomplished early in his career would go to ****. Of course a win against a Mosely or a pacquiao and he'd justify it all. Hopefully he does the right thing be to be honest thats not exactly his MO lately.
