Continue on with music and being a boxing fan and remember the more you look for a mate the harder it'll get. Let her come onto you so you can come onto her:good
yeah, he seems very down to earth. unfortuanately he can't get the big fights. he's not even a draw in conneticut. i heard his last fight with johnson didn't do that well.
I think a lot people, boxers or not, get misjudged based upon assumptions. For example, Cotto seems like a nice person, but some people don't like the "quiet type" perhaps there's a lack of trust, or a lack of closeness and communication. But you have to get passed that, and get to know people, and not let your preconceived notions misjudge them.
Oh yeah now i remember a current fighter( at the time) that was partying me and then JF champ Willie Jorrin were hanging out he is another cool dude from up by your neck of the woods (hes from Sacramento) Me and him downed quite a few drinks together, we were suppose to hang out eventually, but lost touch.
This is a good point. It's hard to get a real grasp on the kind of person you're dealing with in about 2-3 minutes unless you're some sort of master psychologist.
actually taver is a real nice guy despite what you see when he fights. i use to watch him and think he has the type of face you just want to hit, plus all that talking. i met him when he came to oakland to the kessler-ward fight. he was real nice, and talkative (not surprising), and signed autographs and took pics until everyone got one.
most likable... jermain taylor. took on and was in the ring with the very best. always a class act. always respectful. always gave his opponents their due when he was beat. didnt even gloat when he drew with wink.
No it was at the WBHOF after party. You dont remember Willie Jorrin? He beat Oscar Larios for the title and lost to him in a rematch he used to fight on Espn alot.
