According to boxrec, Lenny Daws is due to defend his British title against Jason Cook on the 12th of Feb. No disrespect, but can I ask what the hell has Cook done to deserve a shot at the title? He has had 3 fights in 4 years (2 on the same night), not fought in a 12 rounder for 5 years and lost his last fight in the semi's of Prizefighter....
It must be a voluntary...well i'd hope so. I think it be a very decent match up. Boxer vs Puncher...Lenny's tough and work rate vs Cook's Power and decent ability means it could be one of our more exciting fight nights.
Hopefully its a good fight. Although he looked poor in his comeback fight (he did score a stunning knockout though), he did look a little bit better in Prizefighter. Let's hope his one punch KO power makes things interesting for a few rounds :yep
Its a strange fighrt to make for me. Given that Cook hasn't fought a scheduled 12 rounder in five years, what credit will Daws get if he does win? If he loses..... :-( In such a stacked division domestically you'd think Mick would come up with something better..... it depends whose available of course but still..... Lynes maybe?
I think Cook could pull off an upset but he needed to do more to get his chance but voluntaries throw up these fights pretty often. Should be a decent scrap and Cook has shown he has something to offer still.
hope so mate but gonna have a few important fights before that 1 i think starting the 13th feb but hopefully i come through them an get a title shot before end of year
would you take a shot at the commonwealth before the british if you were offerd it ?and also frankie, would you fight for the irish title aswell ?
