For people that dislike technical skill perhaps But, Arreola should win this fight if he just boxes smartly, especially of tubby comes in over 265 again. And to think, a not fat Arreola could be tearing up the Light Heavyweight division.
sanders cracked him good quite a bit in the first few rounds.. lennox messed him up with a cut by landing some punches the laces of his gloves then his head helped that cut grow quite a bit more so then the actual punches he was landing. arreola and peter did land a few missed a lot more he has been tagged i also notice you didnt bring up hide did you not see that fight?
I don't know, Adamek looks good and strong, but Arreola is a tougher fight than an old Golota. Although I'd rather wait until Adamek fights Estrada but, as of now for Adamek/Arreola, I'll take kung fu panda by late knockout.
Yeah hide cracked him good a few times then was absaloutly destroyed in the second round... its kinda sad how big of a underdog Vit was going into that fight. BUt a lot of Hide was hype from the british press.. He was a great cruiser but was a very chinny HW.
It might be im not sure on adameck at heavy but again i missed the golata fight but golata is also done so im not sure how to gague it? So who knows he cant do any worse then Vitaly's last few opponents.
I wish adamek best of luck at heavyweight! i hope he makes it big! Adamek is a true warrior but has good ring intelligence also! i like that! He has all the tools! I know he is gonna bring his heart and his power up there but will he be fast enough against the top fighters of the division? If he can bring his speed up there too then i will say: hell yeah this dude is for real! :bbb
i think the big issue is, he needs the strength and the extra weight in his punching. and he also needs the speed, to move away. one great thing about adamek moving up is he's a veteran, with full ring generalship and maturity. holyfield, a legend, successful at both cruiser and heavy, was very, very hot-headed. if he got shaken, he would get angry, blast back and give giants like foreman (256-pounds) and bowe (240) the advantage. obviously, this made evander's career hugely exciting and all the more dramatic. clearly, adamek cannot afford to make little errors like this. i keep saying, i like what i saw in the jon banks fight. i've not seen many cruisers bigger.more powerful than banks. adamek got shaken, catapulted off the rope, but crucially clinched, cleared his head, and when he felt better, then he attacked. i'm confident adamek has the right temperament. i will have to wait and see re the weight, if he's "right" physically. carrying 223-pounds, won't it make him tired at the end of each round (the extra effort involved with bigger muscles in your arms, with less mobility in your legs)? isn't there extra risk of injury to joints and muscles? 4fun - you don't seem to rate povetkin. but i'm sure you will sometime during 2010. povetkin is one small heavyweight that adamek shouldn't mess with. there is a reason teddy atlas is training povetkin, i'm sure there's another reason besides money. i don't want to speak for anyone, especially anyone as outspoken as atlas. but i'll bet teddy sees some heavyweight championship destiny in povetkin, and perhaps wants to be a part of this. i know atlas does mnot rate the klitschkos. here he has a smaller heavyweight with fast hands, classy skills and lots of heart.
arreola is a great test. all that weight, which he will lean on adamek. it will be an excellent physical test. i can remember how tired holyfield looked when a 256-pound foreman leaned on him. it takes some getting used to. i don't think arreola is as good as povetkin, or even boytsov. but it's the best step up for adamek, due to the weight/strength and the american TV money and the profile. basically it's a world title eliminator (probably for haye).
Adamek should beat Arreola. I do want to see this fight happen. It's about time he will fight someone in their prime and not take easy fights. I'll see Adamek fight in Newark and I hear he put on some good weight...
Yes, I will be there. 1) adamek is exciting to watch 2) I live 45 min from the arena 3) great atmosphere the polish people bring 4) I still want to see USS get the rematch at heavyweight (sry had to throw that in there )
