I can't understand this one. Why is HBO or Showtime not picking this fight up? Adamek is one of the guys who can really spark energy into the Heavyweight division. This one is a head-scratcher. Any thoughts?

How can i see it in Texas? Are you implying that someone is carrying this fight on MSG or Fox?

GoFightLive is pretty good. I've purchased a few events from there and the streams are consistent.

My guess is HBO or Showtime wasn't going to take the risk on paying money for the fight that's essentially a tune up for a much bigger fight -Arreola-.

USTV's boycott of this fight does not surprise me at all.

Estrada isn't a name by any stretch of anyone's imagination add that to the fact that a good percentage of the non-deep level fan has ever heard of Adamek and you have the reason why they don't want to spend the cash for the card.

if you're not a haymon or godlen boy fighter, it's nearly impossible to get on hbo. maybe kickbacks arent as easy to hustle out of non haymon or GB boxers, don't know, but something aint right. Adcamek is an exciting fighter and more than HBO worthy.

Why would Showtime pick this up?

HBO is almost certainly going to show Adamek vs Arreola if it happens. THAT is the fight they're interested in showing. Now why would Showtime put down money (especially since they have a tight boxing budget as it is and a large majority of it is swallowed up by the Super Six) on a fight that they won't get the pay off too? It's like free advertising for HBO.

I guess the BEST way to really explain it would be like if you go to a restaurant, eat the entree and then someone else eats YOUR meal. And you have to pay for it.

That was a little different. Calzaghe was never under contract, Showtime just assumed that HBO wouldn't come for him.

After Calzaghe beat Lacy, HBO fell in love with him and threw ridiculous amounts of money to get Calzaghe under contract for what I assume was 5 fights.

I think Showtime knows Arreola is pretty much an item for HBO now and I doubt they'd take an Estrada/Adamek fight just to lose the pay off. Now why isn't HBO showing it? Especially after Berto/Mosley went through? I'm not quite certain.
