Mosley just isnt as good

Why is it only now people are saying this? A week ago Mayweather would have been a chicken if this fight wasn't happening. So many people in the last couple of weeks have gone from Mosley beating Mayweather, to Mosley is too old or washed up.

 

It seems to be some people are never going to be satisfied, this was the best fight to take in the circumstances. Shane is hardly a push over, he holds a title too, do I think he will win? No. But you can't take anything away from the fight!

Shane is 38 not 48, look what Hopkins was doing to Winky, Pavlik and Tarver in his 40's!

 

They were happy to shout Mayweather down when it looked like the fight wasn't happening, now it is looking likely they are getting their excuses in as they expect Floyd to win.

 

99% people (even the PBF haters) said Mosley isn't prime anymore, which is true, but he's still the best WW out there.

 

Better defensively, better counterpuncher, but he doesn't hit near as hard and is not as good at generating offense. Shane is definately the strongest guy Mayweather's ever fought, who might even be as fast as him and is resilient with great stamina. With that combination Mosley will pose a threat for all 12 rounds, that's if Floyd doesn't get knocked out. Floyd is not as experienced or battle hardened vs other elite fighters, so who knows, it might be Mosley who will turn out to be too much for him.

 

This is one of the top three fights that could happen in boxing and certainly the best available fight right now yet here come the (very likely) *******s trying to undermine and dilute a true event.

This fight beats the living sh!t out of WaPakMan vs Clottey as anyone with an ounce of sense knows. This is two elite fighters that have been dancing around each other for years finally getting it on in the ring and not someone fighting the man that was beaten by the man that they just beat in a battle dubbed 'the law of diminishing returns'!

Only in boxing it seems are certain 'fans' fickle enough to see negatives in this frankly massive event. Personally Floyd vs Mosley is a win/win fight that excites me more than Floyd vs Pac at this point and do you know what, I really hope Clottey does a number on Manny so that we can move on from all the bullsh!t surrounding this hype job and forever 'needle' him about ducking Floyd when he had the chance to make the fight that everyone wanted to see, back then at least.

By the looks of things Floyd has stepped up to the plate willingly - not forced into the fight, not fighting a tomato can like Matthew Hatton as the rumour mongers would have you believe and not afraid. Likewise, the great Shane Mosley has agreed to the terms that Manny's team of advisors and shoe shiners turned down to become a part of history.

It doesn't matter who wins this fight, as I said it's win/win.

Now that's one legacy that will pay the bills!

 

Your krazy as hell..... You keep thinkin that. Shane doesnt omve his head that well and never has. Thats his problem thats why he will lose but it will be a tough fight....

I agree. I hope this fight is exciting but remember, mayweather had a defensive awareness to take fighters out of their comfort zone and to put them to sleep. This fight may very well be a boring fight. I hope somone gets knocked out!

 

If someones gonna get KO'd, it would probably be Floyd, cos Mosley has one of the best chins and Floyd ain't the power puncher as we all know.

come on man, its mayweather there are talking about.pbf will be 33 and mosley will be 38.you got 5 yrs between them, of course it would have been better at 25 and 30 or better yet 30 and 35, but for reasons of fighters not being ready, or wanting vactions, or wanting to retire they fight now.better now then later, or better late the never.

Whatever you say about Mosley prime or not-

.He is highly ranked P4P.
.He is still a very formidable welterweight and top dog at the weight coming off a great win.
.Perhaps most importantly, stylisticaly he does at least present a few intangibles matching up to Floyd. His speed, skills and power, not to mention strength and size could present him with trouble.

This is a ****ing great fight.
