Stoppages over Brewster and Skelton. Helenius stops Brewster in 8, Puelv stops Skelton in 4. I want to take a momement to salute Skelton and Brewster, who are at the end. I remain a big Brewster fan- he gave us some great figths when the other guys were stinking things up. But we now have two new young contenders with some serious skills.
These results are enough to make you sick. Watching Skelton and Brewster being pummeled pillar to post. That is why there should be a Super Heavyweight divsion. These guys towered over Brewster and Skelton. It wasnt fair.
Both Skelton and Brewster have seen better days. I hope this is the end for two fighters who featured in some pretty good fights in their pomp.
Err, Skelton outweighed Pulev by 13lbs...how exactly are you going to define your superheavyweight division?
Huh? Helenius is smaller than Wlad (who Brewster beat) and Pulev is smaller than Skelton and is only about 6'3".
What the **** are you talking about? Pulev is like 1 inch taller than Skelton and is actually lighter.
The only way Brewster was able to beat Vlad was by drugging. Vlad was drugged in that fight. It appears is was a form of serotonin booster, thus the extremely high blood sugar levels, doctors were concerned about Vlad going into a diabetic coma. MRI showed zero signs of any concussion, it was all about the blood sugar lever, Vlad has never had diabetes. Two sets of missing blood/urine samples, missing water bottle, betting on Brewster at last minute, no betting allowed on Vitali's next fight. Vlad does not tire in the first or second round either. Brewster refused to fight Vitali or Vlad after that fight until Brewster lost his title.
I take it you have never seen his fights with Mirovic and Rogan? His fight with Bob Mirovic was an all our war. Skelton basically bullied a man who was some 20lbs heavier into the ropes and just unloaded, taking big punches whilst doing so. It was a back and forth tussle with Rogan as well, a fight which was voted as one of the best UK domestic heavyweight tussles.
Seems like we have different definitions of "good fights". While I agree that they were about Skelton's only entertaining fights, I wouldn't classify them as "good". I expect to see some good skills in a "good fight". Anyway, solid win for Helenius, he is doing better that I thought for now. We'll see how far he can go. While Brewster is of course shot from too much punishment in his career this is still a far better win that Golota and look at the treatment Adamek is getting.
