The fact that Hopkins is trying to "avenge" his loss at this point should embarrse him. I hope RJJ pulls one out of his ass, scores the upset then Hopkins goes on suicide watch.

I would, of course, think this fight had worth if Jones had not gotten KO'ed in the first round.

It would have more merit if it happened after the Lacy fight.

Rhino mate, I agree that David Haye is not the best heavyweight in the world but I believe that he would beat Hopkins up. And I do not believe that a fight with Haye is what Bernard is looking for.

Don't get me wrong, I could be way off the mark and if I am that's fair enough but I just don't see it.

:good  That would be superb Jimmie.

It is a shame that it doesn't seem possible, but the image is great!!

If Hopkins was to pursue a HW belt, it would most likely be against Adamek.

Nah I ain't buying the revenge angle. Don't get me wrong - Hopkins IS that petty and he certainly would relish making Jones bleed it out over 12 rds.

However he's gotta know (even if only in the back of his mind) how little it's gonna count against a dude that just got washed out in 1 in his previous fight against an unheralded Greene (I don't care that it was at CW - it still counts). Legacy wise this fight should've happened years ago, and notwithstanding the name-calling and who-should-have-stepped-up-to-the-plate debates therein - this fight really doesn't amount to much.

Of course, it's a great way to pay the bills when you have sucker fans who will still fork out their dough for this BS. And if you can squeeze one more penny out of a dead duck - then Bernard's certainly earned his right to do so. I don't blame the man for that.

TBH I can't even see how they'd get my curiosity money .

Which is what I presume most people will be shelling out for. Though it's quite obvious what the outcome should be. And why for either fighter, it makes not an ounce of difference to their legacies :verysad.

Well I say that, but I guess time and the history books will tell.
