At the time Shane faced him Diego Corrales was a pretty good opponent.

 

We can't say till we see what kind of Mosley shows up. He's getting to the age when he can grow old overnight.

Prime Mosley would have been a better bout, with Mosley having the edge.

 

Delahoya at 154 is a better more difficult opponent than Mosley at 147, look how they both did against Mayorga.

Corrales/Castillo/Hatton are different, were prime and were P4P ranked (before or after). Personally I think Hatton/Castillo are harder stylistic fights for Mayweather

 

No , Shane is 38 plus. Defeating Margarito is a far different challenge than beating a speed freak like Floyd ... I think we are misreading what Shane has left, especially coming off a year layoff ....

 

Castillo is Mayweather's best win by far, than probably a distant second to Hatton and Corrales. Mosley can be very streaky, depends on which version shows up.

 

His best opponent above 135 pounds. Better than the DLH he faced and definitly better than Hatton, Judah, Baldomir. But all of those were either ancient (DLH), only showfighters (DLH), above their best weight (Hatton, Judah) or never any good (Judah, Baldomir). Shane would be also old and arguably above his best weight but he is the best WW out there at the moment. I pick Floyd to beat him but he get's quite some credit if he does.

Castillo and Corrales are better wins than any of those imo. They were at their prime and at their best weights. I was very impressed with PBF at 130 and 135. Sadly he never really proved his abilities above these weights.

 

I think there's a strong case that the Castillo win would still be best. But it would still be an excellent win. Don't get me wrong. Because of his age and Mayweather's defensive ability and record, it would be a much larger win for Mosley if he won. His best, I'd say.
