For Hopkins to brutally beat up glass jaw jones, and reduce him to a embarrassing KO again, to make up for him getting beat by Jones who fought with a broken right hand that fight. It won't make up for it. I could say if Jones beat the crap out of Greene, instead he was KO'd in the first round.

Well in Hopkins' own mind, Roy Jones is the only guy to ever beat him, he has said this multiple times.

Though Hopkins knows this fight will still make money, a win would mean to him that he has beat every boxer he has ever faced. Something I think he is serious about.

That loss to Jones back in the day really stuck in Hopkins' craw. Basically he's desperate to beat Roy.

    :good:good:good

I will probably go to this one. I love both of these ni99as, and I can't wait to see it.

The event will be a sheer spectacle. They have both earned the stripes to go through with it if they want to. Either pay the $$$$ or STFU and change the channel.

    Don't think so.

Jones was, and is, the superior boxer of the two. He's clearly more gone than Bernard, but he has much more speed and pop than Bernard.

He was beaten by Calzaghe, largely due to a tremendous work rate, one that prime Bernard never possessed.

He was KO'd by Green, who has way more power than Bernard.

Bernard has one KO (over a welterwt) in the last seven years, eleven fights.

So him scoring a KO would be a stretch.

And he lost to Taylor twice and Calzaghe once by an inability to stay busy. So he will have trouble outworking Jones.

And, As I've mentioned, he probably won't out-box Jones. He doesn't have the speed nor the moves.

So, while on the face of it, he should be favoured here, I'm not sure how he's going to go about it.

So, yes, the fight will be 'interesting.'

I don't think Hopkins wants Dawson very much. And the RJJ fight will generate more $$$.

Both guys at the edd of their careers deserve a big money bout.

And the market will bear that out.

Money!!!Jones is shot and useless and Bernard is past it but they're smart enough to realize that many will pay for this one.
