Sky Box office starts at 9 so i reckon he will be in the ring at 11.30ish. I predict Haye will be the only the second person after Tua to stop Ruiz.

There were plenty saying Haye was gonna be the first man to stop Valuev.

    He didnt.

Haye can blow away Euro level crusier guys like Maccarenelli and Gurov.

But World Class heavyweights are tougher to crack.

Of course Haye could stop him.

But at this level things are alot more comeptive.

Alot of fans - espcially younger fans - think just cos its David Haye and they are used to him blowing people away.

It dont matter who he fights - he is bound to knock them out.

Older more experienced fans like GazOC will know better.

Haye to me is a more polished version of Herbie Hide.

I havent seen anything yet though to suggest Haye could beat Wlad or Vitali.

The jokes over a long time ago pal.

Dont get me wrong - I wanted Enzo to beat Haye - and honestly thought that he had a chance at the time.

But Maccarenlli is not proven world class like the guys Haye is mixing with now - plus these guys are heavyweights.

Guys like Rob Palmer come on here and say things like:

Roy Jones is the greatest fighter of the last 15 years apart from Mayweather :patsch

Haye can do no wrong - etc etc

Booth delievered Haye a world heavyweight title fight has Warren ever done that for one of his fighters,?

    etc
    etc

Jones was alot more dynamic and better fighter than Mayweather - I done a poll in the general before

about 95% of people voted Jones as better than Mayweather :deal

Palmer is only saying Mayweather is the greatest just because he is the greatest of his time

But boxing has a longer history than your interest in it

And how can Palmer comapre Adam Booths promotional C.V to Frank Warrens :patsch

Warren has been delievring World title fights since Janaury 1985 when he brought Don Curry over here to fight Colin Jones :deal

Older posters like GazOC would know better.

Just felt like bringing him to account for all the shite he talks

All this Haye loving he pours out on the forum :dead

He is loving "creepy" Adam Booth and "smug" David Haye. :tired

I'm more in Frank Warrens corner.

I love how Warren called Booth ......."Phoney" Booth :lol::lol:

In fairness I don't think Jones is all that superior to Mayweather.... if at all.

It's easy to look brilliant against taxi drivers and school teachers that Jones was fighting through most of his prime.

Take away the wins over Hopkins, Toney and Hill, there ain't a great deal else :deal

    Your forgetting John Ruiz.

Your forgetting he unfied the Light heavyweight divison against Montell Griffin, Lou Del Valle and Reggie Johnson.

Jones was offensively much more dynamic than Mayweather - thats just my impression - and the impression of lots of people.

    Ruiz was cherrypicked.

Why not fight Chris Byrd or Lennox Lewis, the IBF or WBC holders at the time?

Of course it was a very good achievement for a natural light heavy to move up and beat a heavyweight, but Ruiz was the weakest and slowest of the three champions..... there were stronger fighters without belts such as Wlad and Vitali also.

Jones was probably more offensively dynamic than Mayweather, heavier hitter..... but Mayweather's offence is underrated, plus he has faced a lot of guys that are pretty difficult to get rid of, such as DLH, Baldomir etc.

He is most likely a bitter pill to swallow because of his sometimes annoying characteristics, but looking at his earlier performances such as against Corrales I'd say Floyd is very capable on the front foot, and looking at the Hatton fight, very comfortable in close as well.

Yes Ruiz was cherry picked - as he had a belt - and he was the least dangerous of the holders.

Like you say - its still a very good achievement though - for Jones at such a physical disadvantage to beat him on points by a mile.

After all - Ruiz - over 7 years later - is good enough to fight David Haye in a World heavyweight title fight.

I dont think Jones would have beaten Lennox Lewis, etc - in fact he could have been laid out very early - so that was a wise move.

I'm not saying Jones was a great heavyweight - but he was a great fighter.
