Michael Nunn would beat the effing brakes off Pavlik. Bigger, faster amazing combination puncher, not to mention James Toney is the only guy to ever stop him, and Nunn was dominating the fight.

Nunn would give him hell like he did Barkley. The only way Pavlik could win is if Nunn made a mistake and got caught.

Whoever thinks Pav would win is a meth head. I like Pavlik, but he would be totally outclassed here.

nunn would give anyone hell. height, stance, etc...not to mention he could put punches together. kelly can take a lickin and keep on tickin. that doesnt mean he'd win but it does mean he'd at least see the final bell...maybe

i agree with techks, he would have to catch nunn nappin' to win. which wouldnt be unprecedented. he was dominating the toney fight before gettin' straight poleaxed.

that outcome is unlikely but it is not impossible.

My money would be on Nunn. If I got even odds, I'd put quite a bit on the fight.

No Offense,Im not tryna take no shots at your thread

But why even bother asking a fantasy matchup with Kelly Pavlik,No matter who the other fighter is,Everyone in here is always going say that, that fighter would give Pavlik a beating and will beat him

It just a waste of time,Pavlik gets beaten by everybody now

Kelly has nothing to offer Nunn. Nunn throws just as many punches as The Ghost, and takes far far less in return. Physically just as big if not bigger, and never had issues with stamina and toughness. Long night for Kelly.

Pavlik could not beat Nunn. Pavlik needs a fighter who has a propensity for brawling when he gets a little tired, and Nunn was not that fighter. Nunn by easy decision.

And why not? He got the **** kicked out of him by an ancient Hopkins, which just leads one to think that if he ever ran into a young Hopkins, or anyone even close to that caliber, he would get completely outclassed. Evidence points to Pavlik being a very average champ. That doesn't make him a bad fighter, he may be the best MW right NOW, but he's just not that special and yeah... he's going to lose just about any fantasy matchup against high quality middleweight champs.
