Let's talk about the interview. I think tony is playing games here big time, trying to get paul to come out of the woodwork and start a war of words, which eventually developed with quigley. It's good for publicity, but how much genuine bad feeling is there between them?
**** all to milk m8 thats how it was he was a nice lad and was more than welcome at the time ,so why would i milk it?for what purpose?
Thewinfella you speak so much sense and i can't agree with you any more, absolutely correct in everythin you have said in this thread!!! As far as the fight goes Tony wins ......... TOO BIG, TOO STRONG, TOO GOOD for smith!!!!!!!!!!! Go on Dodo lad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quigley won that shitty fight by at least a couple of rounds. Smith showed no ability to adapt to quigleys style. Dodson can win this as long as he doesn't walk onto one.
One thing is for sure, it will be a better fight than smith quigley. Whoever you think won, at the end of the day, the fight has happened, and the 3 people that matter made the decision. As i have said it wasn't like the other week when napa got robbed. You will find as many people who thought he won. This is a better fight all round, as dodson isn't a grappler, or wrestler, and smith opens up when his opponent trades with him. potential fight of the year in the making.
Respectfully disagree. I'm pretty sure the majority of folk thought Quigley shaded it. I certainly did.
sorry mate u just came across a lil bitter/angry. like u say in football 'u aint good enough to lace my boots' as a way to **** take ur mates or something. maybe im wrong, just my oponion. i thought smigga just edged the quigley fight and am expecting a better smith to turn up for u
To be fair to Smith as much as I dont like him as was really rooting for Quigley, I was at the Arena that night in pretty good seats and wasn't on the beer at all. I had Smith winning by a round. AND.... that fight was for me one of those fights that was genuinely easy to score each round. There wasn't too many rounds that was nearly close and Quigley lost that fight in the championship rounds - And to me it was as simple as that !
i was there to and thought the same. my mate rung after the fight and said it was **** and quigley should of won
I found the fight hard to score as i kept dropping off, it was boring until the last 2 rounds. I think if Smitty struggled with Quigleys strength, he will struggle with Dodsons. Not saying he cannot win, i just think he can be intimidated. Dodson to win and if those odds are legit i will be backing him. Make it physical Tony , and rough him up.
quigley with his judo background ?? may be wrong on that is probably the physicaally strongest smw on teh domestic scene excluding froch, i feel the winner of david anderson will beat any of the liverpool smw's... would be intresting if danny macintosh could make smw again!!!
Interesting interview, this one. Tony to win around the 7th. And I WILL have some of Skybets odds on Tony by K.O or T.K.O. And Tony, you are quite right in one of your past interviews, How the hell did Smith go from losing to Bendall at M.W. in an English title fight to #1 contender at the division above? And is world ranked by the W.B.O? Beats the **** outta me!!! I would be interested to hear Tonys personal opinion on Brian Magee's Euro title win and without looking past Smith, how any route to Magee would map out. Anyway Doddo to win on March 12th. Get on it!!! Bring the belt back to Garston, Tony. :good
