to be fair, I know a few people whop have bumped into hatton, most recently after the Paulie fight, and he let picsd be taken etc. no bother
Direct Debit on their Bank Account would read: 16th September - Hatton Promotions - debited amount: £50.00
It's kind of a shame after all Witter achieved he's still best known as the boxer who totally put the shits up Hatton. Witter was better than that.
Cant be arsed reading most of this tired topic. So my brief thoughts and replies to what's been said. Hatton v Witter should have been made at some point. It wasnt. I dont put that down to either boxer's unwillingness to fight, more to the people behind either/or of the boxers failure to make it happen. Truth is though, Hatton did outgrow Witter. And he beat better opponents in time. This is boxing though, we'll never get every fight we want. Then you've got Hatton the "money grabber"... Jesus lads, cant a fella get paid anymore? If people were not happy with it, they wouldnt have paid to see it. End of story. I'm a boxing fan and I've paid to watch Hatton a few times, a trip to Vegas included. And I'd do it all again if the opportunity came knocking. As for the sportsman's dinner... has anyone actually been to one before? Not just a Hatton one, but any one? More often than not, there's an entrance fee, a raffle for memoribilia and chance to get a photo with the sportsman, sometimes for a fee, sometimes not. I went to Hatton's recent tour and all the money raised for the raffle (which was the £20 for an autograph that people were talking about) went to charity. Not sure where the picture money went, but I dont really care. I've also had free pics with Hatton in the past having bumped into him at venues. Fact of the matter is, boxers (like most atheletes) have short careers. Hatton has earned more than most, but if you dont want to pay £50 for a picture then dont pay it. Just dont speak for everyone else when doing so. I've paid the cash for a pic with Hatton before because he's one of my sporting heroes, I'd pay the same to have a picture with Kenny Dalglish. Where there's demand, there's supply. So, in summary, yes Hatton v Witter should have been made. The rest is irrelevant.
wheres the source for this :think because I think its aload of bollocks tbh every time I have met Ricky he has been more than happy to have his pic taken with anyone and speak to anyone who wanted to speak to him. Also the pro game is about money as much as it is about titles that is a fact that you cannot change. Also as someone has said previous in this thread Witter ducked Magee. Forgive me your just a hater simple as your as bad as the yanks who hate on Joe C get a grip and move on Hatton had a better career and fought and beat better fighters than your boy Witter who was not on the same level if he was and brought all the ppv sales, fans and talent as Ricky did to the table he would of fought the like of Pac and FM
how:think he cannot see any good RH has done and is therefore a hater and its a fact that Ricky has been good for British boxing. :happy
the fans have been good to hatton aswell. if hatton cared about british boxing, he would of fought witter in a british showdown.
Yes, instead of us having a British fighter fighting a HOF fighter in Tszyu, who was the number 2 P4P fighter at the time. And then fighting, the P4P number 1 fighter on two seperate occasions.
