Lutter was slow and drained and went for that pathetic submission attempt before he gassed out totally. Franklin might not be as skilled as Lutter be should make it up with his strengh and conditioning and he can wrestle as well.He handled Mcdonald on the ground easily so he's no slouch on the ground.
Hey UFC expert guys. I like Anderson Silva's style and I think he's an exciting fighter. What do you think is Silva's chance of winning this upcoming fight? 60% for andy and 40% for Franklin? I'm a compulsive vbettor with fighters that I like. I just bet 3000 vcash all in on Spider. You guys think its a relatively safe bet?
I think it's a safe bet, nate was one of the best ground fighters in the middleweight division and silva destroyed him, i don't think franklin has what it takes to beat silva. The only guys i think that could beat silva are hendo, fihlo and lindland that is only a might beat him.
got it. thanks. even if spider loses, I'll still like him. Super cool fighter. And I didnt exactly get 3000 vcash by just betting small change. I only bet on the fighters I like, and I bet all in.
Looks like you're gonna have 6000 after that fight then... good bet. It's very rare someone comes back from such a vicious beating to win the rematch. Franklin has a scared puncher's chance. I would say this a 10 to 1 scenario.
Silva is going to own him again. I kinda don't want to watch this because Franklin seems like a nice guy. I hope Vera KTFO of Tim though.
Very well put. I totally agree with everything you said. If you compare the 2 fighters. Silva stands out on top.
I think people are underestimating Franklin's ground game. Yeah, it's not the best, but he's no slouch when on his back or on top. He submitted Marvin Eastman, Jorge Rivera (not that they're the greatest fighters) and had little trouble with McDonald on the ground. The fact that he was able to get out of the nasty hold Okami had him in the third round of his last fight shows his patience as well. That being said....I still think Silva is better on the ground and a more complete fighter and he'll most likely win, but I'm pulling for Franklin. I really have doubts that he'll be dominated the way he did in their first fight. Where does Franklin go from here if he loses? I say he fights Machida and avenges the only other loss on his record. Also...if Silva wins...who does he fight? It's looking pretty bleak in that division right now. Silva in my book is the best pound-for-pound fighter out there right now and with slim pickings in the division...it could be Silva's for the foreseeable future. That is another reason I'm pulling for a Franklin victory...a little more excitement to look forward to in that weight calss.
