FINAL DEADLINE: April 26 at 11:59pm EST

    Scoring system is as follows:

25 points for your #1 guy
    15 for #2
    12 for #3
    10 for #4
    8 for #5
    5 for #6
    4 for #7
    3 for #8
    2 for #9
    1 for #10

    * Please make a list of TEN FIGHTERS.

    * NO TIES!
    * If you make a List of MORE or LESS than 10, your list will NOT COUNT
    * Please include fighter's full name

Anyway, to kick it off, here's what I came up with:

    1. Eder Jofre
    2. Manuel Ortiz
    3. Terry McGovern
    4. Carlos Zarate
    5. Ruben Olivares
    6. Fighting Harada
    7. George Dixon
    8. Panama Al Brown
    9. Pete Herman
    10. Joe Lynch

Again, this is made tough with the survey's format being restricted to the original 8 divisions, with guys like Tapia, Gomez and Penalosa spending their best years at in-between weights and thus slipping through the cracks. You want to throw some of these guys a bone and find a spot to sneak them in, as it'd be a shame to not have them appear due to a technicality at all due to a technicality on a series of surveys determining the best when they are among the best, but in all honesty it just can't be done when you're talking about a top ten list with all the talent the sport has seen across its history.

    Point taken.

When we are done with the original eight and a separate P4P list, I might consider doing the other weight classes.

I will have to see how motivated I am.

Interesting that of all the lists so far, the only two long serving champions to retire as undefeated World champions - Jimmy Barry and Jimmy Carruthers have failed to make a single list! I cant understand the rationalisation behind those omissions.

The rationalisation is pretty simple: Jimmy Barry was a Paperweight, and Jimmy Carruthers didn't have nearly a long enough reign against convincing opposition.
