:bbb Who do you guys like in this one? Think it would be intresting pretty even match. Muniz better boxing skills, Could Margarito wear down the Muniz and take him late? This is a tough one to call ill have to think about this:huh:think:?
Im thinking its probably over exaggerated All i know is I saw Margarito fight when he was an 18 year old prospect against tough vetran journeyman Alfred Ankamah and he was hitting real hard then and he brutalized him. I highly doubt that Margarito was loading his gloves then. Also saw him many times after that he has always been a good puncher and dismantled opponents in the same fashion as recently.
And yet, his punches had little or no affect on Mosley after he was stripped of those cheating tools where previously he ripped the ear of one brutalised opponent which Ring described, with a measure of understatement this month as "suspicious in retrospect". I guess what i'm trying to say is, I find it very difficult to predict what and how fights will pan out without really knowing whether or not his best victories came about via cheating tools.
Well we will soon find out. Who do you like the Margarito that beat Cotto,Cintron, and fought Williams to a close fight or The Muniz who fought Napoloes in a close loss, and warred with Palomino?
How do you rate the Muniz that fought Leonard? Did Palomino finish him? I've never seen the fight. Anyway, I think, I think I like Muniz. He is at a serious size disadvantage but he's as tough as they come and I don't think Margarito could break him. Meanwhile, we've seen Margarito can be sapped by a man game enough to stay with him throughout last time out. Muniz pulls it out down the straight.
Muniz was past his best in both fights with Palomino imo. At his best he had as good a jaw as Margarito and was a better overall slugger/swarmer hybrid with clearly more ringcraft than Antonio as well. The cheating hack has size on his side and maybe more power, but i favour mando.
Well the Muniz that fought Leonard was definetly past it. Ive talked to Mando on several occasions(hes also president of the WBHOF) also was a High School Principal. Anyways i told him how he things wouldnt have been so one sided in the fight with Leonard in his prime and he told me yey, but LEonard was just to damn fast. He sounded like he didnt like his chances even in his prime. But in a recent interview (its on you tube) at the Arreola klitchko fight they asked him who would have won between Napoloes and Leonard and without hesitation he picked Napoloes the reporter said really and Muniz said oh yeah he would have beat LEonard, in the same interview he also said that he should have got the first fight with Napoloes but that Napoloes definetly beat him the second time. PS Muniz was also an all state wrestler in high school
Very interesting that he picks Mantequilla over Sugar, hey, he should know. I would like to see this interview I think.
Ok i dont even know how to pasteatsch but the other day someone posted fights of Palomino and Muniz well when you go to you tube on the sidebar of those fights is an interview with him. You should find it there. would paste it but

http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixzw8AiGScS The link is not coming up anyways its under You tube Armando Muniz on Pacquiao-Cotto&Arreola-Klitchko
Almost! Dunno what happened there. If you put ":/" in front of "/", that link should still work... Thanks, I will look later.
I never thought much of Mando. I'd favor Margo to outmuscle/outhustle/overpower him to a decision win or perhaps late stoppage.
Muniz would've won a 12 round fight with Palomino. It's possible that Margarito can't get the granite-jawed Muniz out of there early enough and loses a close decision.
