    Jorge Arce KO4 Ricardo Lopez.

Lopez was a cautious misfire without a bang, but an untested chin. Arce gettin it on early, cornering and covering Lopez with combo bombs he never dealt with in his entire career.

Ricardo Lopez would pick Arce apart. Think Arce vs Mijares, only his power will shut Jorge down within the first 8 rounds. He's not noted for his defense, and I would envision Lopez finding the target with his sharp, straight, accurate shots with regularity.

Arce asks a lot more questions of Lopez then I think many people are willing to admit.

A notorious weight cutter I have little doubt he would be the bigger and most likely stronger guy in there.

New territory for Lopez IMO...No way of knowing how he deals with it..I know Ricardo is certainly the better technician and overall better fighter, I do find it easier to picture him outboxing Jorge but its by no means a certainty.

I'm not really a fan of Ricardo Lopez, but he'd have his way with an Jorge Arce I feel.

I think Lopez deals with Arce pretty comfortably, probably by decision, though.

Are we in agreement that the idea of Lopez getting Arce out of there isn't out of the realms of possibility though? Lopez hit damn hard only 3lbs south of Light Flyweight, so I dont' see carrying his power as being an issue. Arce was never impervious to being hurt.

I know you're a Canizales fan by the way, I watched his second fight with Seabrooks again earlier. Breathtaking combination's. The guy is so unheralded it's untrue.

Arce would be somewhat competetive early, Lopez then starts picking him apart fairly easy and stops him in the mid rouns. Lopez tko 8.

You bet on the wrong horse here. Arce was a beast at that weight and got a granite-chin. Only way to stop him would be on cuts, but I doubt this bout would last that long. Lopez power is way too over-rated on this one, while Arce got the bang in both hands. Bad matchup for Lopez.

Arce came into the light fly match against Castro the second time at a few pounds over 130 I believe. I'm pretty sure the lead up footage to that one showed him passing out at the weigh in.

Yeh, but problem is, Lopez isn't Carbajal. And Arce took far more punches in later bouts that would easily crush Lopez untested chin. :yep

Well Carbajal might have hit a little harder, but Lopez was far more accurate and a better boxer. From what i remember Carbajal didnt land much on Arce anyways lost about every round and landed that Hail mary late. Lopez wouldnt have a hard time teeing off on Arce. Totally different styles totallly different fight. Carbajal was far past his prime, A prime Lopez wouldnt have near as much difficulty.
