Evander (as should any boxer) should have to beat a ranked opponent to get any title shot.

I agree with you 100% Erratic. I say it's up to Holyfield to determine for himself, and as you say yes he should have to pass a indepth physical. But if he can he should be allowed to do what he wants. I really don't get the whole "I'm worried he's gonna die" stance, as all boxers are putting themselves in serious danger every time they fight, young or old.

:good That's all there is to it. I suspect some may be sore his name got him an unjustified title shot, or are just tired of the old guard, but if he can meet all physical requirements who's to stop him.

If Crazy Holy is banned from earth he would box on the moon or mars or something. The guy is really mentally challenged and I think he is at a place where his mind is stuck in the ring and he forgot there is life after boxing. NOBODY LOVES BOXING THAT MUCH, to fight until all of your common sense gets knocked out of you.

Remember Tyson's psychiatric report being made public in order for him to gain a license?

Something like that may happen with Holyfield.

Everyone seems to be concerned about his health.

If it is the case then you should realize that Evander is fighting very safe opponents. Toney KO'd him ages ago, but apart from that? He lost to Byrd, Donald and Ibragimov. He was never down and never in trouble against any of them. I would say he was even rarely hit with anything meaningful, they just outpointed him and made him look even worse and more ancient than he really is.

I agree he got his title shot based on achievements from another millenium and shouldn't get another until he really earns it (well, this can be said about most other contenders). But in terms of health... well, I think Peter lost more health in the ring against Klitschko and McCline than Evander in the last 5 years.

If a tomato cans losing damn near all their fights by early KO can still get a license then it would be a disgrace to unfairly deny Holyfield.

If he is banned anywhere, he should be banned everywhere.
