According to the scene. Would be good to see some clarity in the division, though Hasegawa vs Perez would be even more exciting. However, Montiel appears to be in good form and far more comfortable at Bantam than he was before. Hasegawa is going through a purple patch but Montiel will no doubt be the beat fighter he has ever faced. Two food boxer punchers, I see Hasegawa winning on points in a FOTY contender, his ability to seamlessly shift into southpaw boxer to laser-accurate swarmer' seeing him land more punches, although Montiel will no doubt land some telling blows himself. Anyone think it'll come off? Predictions?
Hasegawa would win, although I really need to see more of the guys to make a decent prediciton. Montiel has been around forever aint he?
Hasegawa and pretty comfortably. Montiel looked like garbage against Valdez and was incredibly lucky to get a TD when he was on route to getttin KTFO
And this was a guy (correct me if I'm wrong) that Hasegawa stopped pretty convincingly. Still its a good match, maybe Montiel had an off night? He's a skilled and experienced fighter from the footage I've seen. Although I'll admit I'm no expert on the guy.
Didn't want to get too excited when this was first mooted as I expected the JBC to stop it from becoming a possibility. I'm over the moon and this has the potential to be one of the FOTY. I'm chuffed Hasegawa has finally got a big fight and hope a win will set him up for some really big opportunities. War Hasegawa!:happy Yes, Ishy worked very hard putting this card together. Cheers, Ishy:good.
I'll back my boy Montiel to win this one on points. Then I'll go and post in this thread the day after the fight: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=206951
