What a farcical list. These lists are always a farce.

 

NO I'll pass on creating more bitchery on this forum :good At first I started typing and I even posted "but Floyd beat JMM with skills, and not size and strength" but then realized that was a contradiction too because Hopkins schooled Pavlik with "skills" also.

I will say that beating JMM in the manner Floyd did, is more impressive then what Hopkins did to Pavlik....yet Floyd got alot less credit. I hope you agree with that :deal :good

 

PW's a little high and Bradley is a little low. Bradley has shown enough to get into the top 10 IMO.

 

These posters are calling it because they are biased. He doesn't have a big fanbase, and that translates into the average fans underrating him.


Paul doesn't have a highlight-reel of exciting, bone-crushing KO's. And he isn't the master-technician with the blazing handspeed and razzle-dazzle defense. He just takes his narrow in the ring and wins boxing mathces.


Everyone talks **** because they say he doesn't bring enough reward to the table for the risk to deserve to fight the top guys, and then others say he isn't good because he hasn't fought the top guys. The average fan can't see the irony... but 28 boxing writers who do this **** for a living certainly see it.

Like I said, you have 28 professional sportswriters who are unaffiliated with each other, who compiled this list. Not a bunch of fickle boxing fans who don't know the difference in biased opinion and analysis.

Well Maybe Shane should get his ass in the ring with Paul instead of flat out ducking him for the past three years.

 

I think the list is fairly good, but there is a bias towards US/Latino fighters which always stand out on lists like this. The Ring are just as guilty IMO.
