Oakey was a fair pick against Macintosh - ok Lawton to win was a bit odd but does that mean they've lost the plot? Bit harsh I think!

I think they've made some excellent changes since Claude moved on, the panel, the guest slots including Donald McRae and Teddy Atlas etc and I think the order is more logical now.

I think there's definitely still a place for boxing news. The content is still excellent mostly but like most paper based news publications, the format is the problem, not the content. They just have to work out how to take more of the content online while making it profitable...

I think they do a great job in general and deserve a bit more support rather than being slated for getting two picks wrong! :good

To be honest Boxing News sometimes get is very wrong when picking the winning fighter in its previews. But that is what makes the sport great. We all pick different winners and all of us get it wrong sometimes even when the result is not a complete shock.

It was a new guy who did the Lawton preview. Even I went for Lawton thinking Leva's past it :patsch

Go to you're account history and it will have proof of the bets you put on.

Fair point, if it had arrived in time. A friend of mine won over a grand backing against Lawton on my tip. Believe it if you want. But 4/6 was an absoulute steal. I also won a few quid myself.

Don't give anyone **** for a prediction after the fight.

If you're going to do it at least have the balls to do it before you know what happened :deal

I jused to by it ever week without fail but without being uppity about it, since Abrams left it only took me two weeks before I got bored of it.

    Coincedence?

I don't think it's to bad in some parts. I get it every week must say though i'm not impressed with certain writer's views on fights recently some have been shocking to say the least. Other then that it's worth a read.

Boxing Monthly is easily the best boxing magazine out of the lot, better than BN and The Ring. They do quality features, have respected and enlightening opinion pieces with Farhood, Houston and Leach.
