I'm an American and I don't even like Ward. I like Froch and hope he wins, but I believe it will still be either Abraham or Kessler. I am very interested to see if Froch can win this this fight. Everyone will downplay it but it is critical to his chances of moving on to the next round and having a chance to win overall.

The only guy in this tournament who might pip Ward for the title is Arthur Abraham.

I knew you picked Ward (as you mentioned this when you joined the Prediction League) but I didn't realize you were active in this thread from the very beginning, David.

I think that will make for the best fight, and I have no doubt that those two will meet in either the semi-finals or the finals.

Style-wise, I think Ward matches up better against Abraham than anyone.

The one I actually think matches up best with Ward, ironically, is Dirrell--but by the time Ward faces Dirrell in round 3, I suspect Dirrell will be damaged goods whereas Ward will be flying high.

Six months ago I had this to say about Ward....

...it may be more of a rant than a logical breakdown, but I had to say SOMETHING, as Ward was getting absolutely NO love on this forum at the time.

alot of people have been high on Ward from the beginning, because when you watch him fight his ability is undeniable.

I knew he would become an elite fighter since about a year ago when I first saw him but honestly his development has been amazing and he matured alot faster than I expected him to. Props to him and his team too cause he must have a pretty solid corner.

Good pick on this one Rumsfeld.

Sorry, just can't get on the Ward bandwagon. I was dead wrong about him against Kessler but for some reason I just don't want him to progress all the way through.

Hey, at least I'm honest, huh?

So you think Ward would have more fans if he didn't believe in God?

Does this go for every religious fighter out there?

Yes, I hate all religious people who cram their beliefs down others' throats, especially on live TV when the commentators are trying to get an actual interview with substance.

Good pick on the Kessler fight, but he still isn't winning the tournament. We'll see what happens when he progresses and has to fight away from home, without a hometown ref, his own choice of judges and the crowd behind him, when things aren't going all his own way and he can't just lead with his head all night.

It didn't matter where Ward-Kessler happened--Ward is a cut above Kessler, plain and simple.

Personally, I think Ward matches up very well against Abraham and Froch, and I think he is going to dominate Green.

Who do you see beating him?
