Actually, as you should know by now if you've been following the Super Six tournament, there's a clause in the contract stipulating that Ward will not fight outside of his hometown, but the other promoters may find a way around that after the three stages. In any case, it won't save him from squaring off against Abraham even if he makes it into the final.

Ward represents a stylistic nightmare for Abraham.

Ward was actually the last fighter to sign on to the Super Six due to the ridiculous demands of his promoter. Just watch episode 1 of Fight Camp 360 and you'll see.

According to Al Bernstein (whom I've spoken with several times regarding the Super Six), I do not believe this is the case.

its true, they talked about it in the first fightcamp 360

Ward is the only one in the super 6 who isn't fighting abroad.

I can only speak from my own experience.

I've interviewed him three times and have always enjoyed talking boxing with him.

You could be right on that, but what Al told me was that every fighter was guaranteed at least one "home" fight.

Are you saying it was stipulated that all of his fights take place in California?

i'd have to pull up the fightcamp 360. Actually it came out in the post fight interview of Ward vs Pudwill and then created a little controversy in the fightcamp episode

i think fight fans don't realise how at that elite level very little seperates the fighters from one another and sometimes having an advantage in the ring that your opponent doesn't have can really have an impact on the outcome of the fight.
