One of my all-time favourite performances. I'm a McCallum fan, so I was blown away the first time I seen this. IMO one of the finest all-round boxing performances ever. What a talent Kalambay was.
One of my favorite technical pure boxing displays. Excellent quality, too. I think I might give it a re-watch just on that basis.
I sometimes wonder if kalambay would look a lot like Holman Williams stylistically, if we had footage to compare.Because of the descriptions of Holman' style, defensive work and the snapping semi-up jab he was said to use, i've always associated the two with each other to an extent.
Im a big McCallum fan...a lot of people dont like seeing there favorite fighters get whooped. But this is an exception for me, absolute masterclass from Kalambay. One of the biggest wins of that era IMO.
Great performance. I like how within the first minutes Dundee already has a good idea how the fight will go.
