Valuev Turned Down $2 million, possibly $3 Million Offer From Vitali!

Hate to sound morbid but people with gigantism generally deteriorate with regards to health a lot quicker than normal folk and Valuev is 36 already.

True but lets be fair, SSM - PBF would have happened a few years ago in an ideal world.

 

He was at least offered 2 Mill but King wanted to take a percentage instead..Either way a dumb but smart move. Dumb because he turned down 2 Mill. Smart because he would have been destroyed. I really wanted to see the fight too.

It says that Klitschko is reputed to have gone as high as three million $ by the end of their negotiations but Don King still insisted on a four million $ minimum AND an additional purse bid for TV rights to the fight.

 

Valuev doesn't want to let Klitschko take 10million+ while he only collects 2-3million. His reasoning is that he does quite well fighting out of Germany on his own. He wants atleast 5 million to get his ass whooped. It's smart because it is an unwinnable fight and will hurt his earning potential. But yeah, he's not going to see that money ever in a single purse.

Right. Haye, and Valuev bolted from fights with Vitali. No sane promoter will back a re-match between Haye and Valuev. The first fight was bogus.
