Anyway, I'll watch this at the pub.

Hopefully Siaca makes it a competitve fight, and Green doesn't look past him and takes him seriously.

When he fought RJJ, Green looked more focussed than I've seen him for a long time. Hopefully he'll bring that same attitude against Siaca.

A bit of objectivity is required when talking about Green vs Mundine 2 - they've both been calling each other out since whenever.

Neither of them is right or wrong, they both know if they can generate interest it will be a big payday for them.

I wish people would stop accusing either one of them of being a **** for calling the other one out - it's all been planned anyway and they're just sticking to the script.

Green wants an Anzac Day two-up match with 'stingy fraud' Mundine

    JAMIE PANDARAM

    February 12, 2010

Anthony Mundine would be exposed as a cowardly fraud if he rejected Danny Green's offer of a rematch on Anzac Day, the latter said in a verbal spray at his bitter rival.
The relationship between the pair has always been frosty but Green's latest assessment of Mundine will increase their mutual animosity to new heights.
Among the accusations Green levelled at Mundine yesterday were that he is too stingy to bring top-class fighters to Australia; that he is too scared to fight Green; and that he would offer a deluge of reasons why the anticipated rematch could not proceed.
Green has offered Mundine a shot at his IBO cruiserweight title in a mooted bout to be staged in Sydney on April 25, with the purse to be split 45-45 and the remainder given to an indigenous youth program.
''If Anthony Mundine doesn't take this fight, he should find another country to live in and hang his head in shame,'' Green said.
''It would show his true colours, he is weak, he is a fraud. He called me out of retirement, I agreed, but we have offered them everything and he wants to avoid me, he is running scared. They have no plans to fight me.
''Why would he deny his own people hundreds of thousands of dollars that would help them immensely? He is still insignificant on a world stage, I am giving him the opportunity to become significant on the world stage, something he desperately craves but is too scared to achieve because he never wants to fight any of the top names.
''He has got money, he can do anything he wants, he could bring Kelly Pavlik or Felix Sturm to Australia for fights. Put your fists in your pocket and don't be stingy. But he is too afraid.''
Mundine could not be reached for his side of the argument last night.
Suggestions that Green had called out Mundine as a ploy and had already agreed to terms with Manny Siaca, who defeated ''The Man'' for his WBA super-middleweight title in 2004, were rubbished by the two-time world champion.
''This is no media stunt, this is real,'' said Green, who indicated he was fast running out of big-name opponents and had therefore turned his attention to Mundine.
''Of course we have options if Mundine doesn't take the fight, Paul Briggs has been mentioned, Siaca has been mentioned, Antonio Tarver, Chad Dawson.
''We have tried everything, we have made massive offers to [Bernard] Hopkins and Tarver and agreed to all of their terms and they still pulled out.
''Anthony Mundine is full of s--t, he is a publicity *****. He never calls out top fighters, he just mentions their names to get his own name out there. All he has to do is make a phone call to Pavlik or Sturm. I knocked out his idol Roy Jones, and Roy Jones is a juggernaut compared to those guys.''
Green predicted Mundine would attempt to use their disparity in weight as an excuse not to fight.
As cruiserweight champion, Green fights at a 90.7 kilogram weight limit, while Mundine had his last fight at middleweight (72.64kg limit).
''The excuse about weight would be a load of crap,'' he said

the excuse about weight is crap.Danny in his doco blamed the weight being the reason he performed so poorly in their fight.only 7 pounds.but he doesnt see a problem in Mundine putting on 17 kg.Mundine is full of crap too Geale being his last fight in Australia before taking on the big overseas fighters.they're both probably great husbands/fathers otherwise we would of heard about it.unlike others in boxing who have less of a profile and criminal pasts.good luck to them if they can make a motza when they fight again but fans on forums will always argue about this he said this he said that all part of the Aussie Forum.

Are you going Ash? If so a question: Will you be taking Choc's nuts as carry-on luggage or are they going in the hold? My feeling is you won't want to go 4 hours without feeling your arms around them!

Oh come on man, you constantly harp on about the weight issue and criticise Green of using it to excuse his performance against Mundine, but at the same time you use it as a valid reason to accuse Green of not playing fair by calling Mundine out for a rematch at CW.

Mundine looked comfortable at SMW for most of his fights, he never showed signs of dehydration or looked underweight like Green did vs Sullivan and Mundine and Beyer 2. He played footy at 85kgs and has stated he can beat Green at any weight, yet all you ever seem to post about is Green coming out of retirement and calling Mundine out for a rematch after he'd moved down to MW. What about Mundine calling Green out while Green was retired, calling Green out straight after the RJJ fight, etc?

Mundine's move down to MW is a joke, he did it to avoid Kessler, and has only fought 3 fights at MW out of 6 since he moved down to that division, and one of those was supposed to be at 154 vs Medley. Mundine wouldn't have to put on 17kgs to rematch Green, Mundine is pretty much starving himself to get down to 160, and his lack of power at that weight shows it isn't his most effective weight class.

Meanwhile, since Green moved up to LHW, he has looked far healthier than he did in his last few fights at SMW.

If Mundine agrees to fight Green at CW, but they both weigh in just over the CW limit (like Green vs RJJ), thereby effectively making it a LHW fight, and Green whips him, will you allow the wieght issue to be used as an excuse by Mundine? If so, then you have to allow that Green has a legit excuse in claiming he was underwieght in their first fight.
