still about 6 weeks to the fight but Ladbrookes have Kessler in at 4/6 with Froch at 11/4 and 25/1 for the draw.

Can't get any further odds on stoppages etc at present, need to check closer to the fight, but those odds will surely shift.

Anybody wanting to bet Froch should bet him now if they can get 11/4.

Come fight night they'll be relatively close, maybe even both at 5/6.

I might have a bit of Froch at that price, i see this as pretty much a 50/50 fight.

Froch has never tasted defeat though and we don't know how much the Ward beating has taken out of Kessler.

I see it 50/50 as well.

Although Kessler was soundly beaten by Ward, he wasn't badly beaten if you know what I mean.

I keep thinking that one could stop the other, but I'm thinking Kessler by SD.

If intangiables weren't so important and this was amateur, then Kessler would probably outpoint him but now that Kessler might be mentally weaker, as well as Froch wanting to knock him out etc Intangiables could win it.

I certainly don't expect Froch to win many fights based on skill and technique :)

This can only go the distance imo. Froch is no hitter and Kessler has a solid enough chin after taking many shots from Ward and Dirrell neither hit hard and both have decent chins. Kessler has the better ability. Can't see how Froch can win this one.

    What makes you say that?

Froch, as far as I'm aware, has always been considered heavy handed with a good chin, this is what's got him to where he is so far.

I think power's much of a muchness in this one, with Kessler having the sounder skills.

Froch is consistently heavy with his punches throughout a fight so I wouldn't write him off though.

Kessler UD for me, but hoping Froch can turn it on.

I agree, its was a clear loss but it didn't look like one that would physically/ mentally affect a fighter for the rest of his career.

I'd have to agree. Could also depend on how well those cuts have healed up though. He did have jacket potato eyebrows.

I still see Kessler having the edge in this fight, but not ruling Froch out at all.

I'm thinking of the point situation. Kessler is on zero points at the minute, he'll be looking for a stoppage win against a tough chinned guy in CF to guarantee him at least 5 or max 6 points, I think he'll go on the assault with Froch and that's really what CF needs to make his own style pay for him.

Kessler might make the mistake of underestimating the heavy handedness of Froch and get caught, Froch can still bang hard and if he hurts Kessler, he won't let him off the hook. I just have this niggling feeling that Froch can pull it out the bag when he needs to.

The extra point makes no difference really.

2 wins and Kessler is through.

If he loses this, and depending on other results, he may need a stoppage in the last fight.
