Like it or lump it De La Hoya is a massive player in world level boxing promotions and has a major problem with Margarito and what he done , thats al there is too it by reading Oscar's statement about it , what he said was bang on , Margarito could have killed somebody in the ring !!!!!!! case closed .

This guy has served his suspension already and even ****** and killers get free once they serve their suspensions. Lifetime bans for Margarito is discriminatory, as he is being singled out, There are other proven cheaters as well in boxing, and all they have were slap in the wrist.

Boxing is highly dangerous sport even with all the things put in place & all the measures taken to ensure health & safety issues & procedures are up to scratch & followed through!

So when someone tries to cheat in a way that involves putting plaster, a heard surface in his ahnd wraps, which he is going to use on his opponent, that is unacceptable!

Don't give me that bollocks about Margo not knowing what was going on or his trainer not telling him! He's the fighter, he pays the trainer's wages so he makes it his business to know what his hands are being wrapped in! Ohterwise it would just be plain ignorance!

a boxing licence is a privilege not a right and the disregard margarito showed for his fellow boxers and their health means its a privilege he should never receive again

 

The only way Margo should be allowed back in the ring is if he fought both Cotto and Mosley with both of those opponents having the same loaded gloves he tried to use.

I still feel like somewhat of a hypocrite for not feeling the same hatred for Mosley. Loaded gloves just seem more destructive to the other fighter (see Luis Resto vs. Billy Collins Jr.) than PED's, but I'm not sure if that viewpoint can be justified. I couldn't provide a valid argument supporting either side. If it came down to it I would have to agree that Mosley be banned too, if that's what it took to ban Margarito. I really wish the sport could be cleaned up.

My guess is there is a realistic chance that he will fight again, given that he has the backing of sleazeball with deep pockets, Bob Arum.

 

Its like a cold war right now with the boxers being the banana republic pawns.

There was proof that Tito was wrapping his hands illegally. You may recall that Nazim Richardson made him re-wrap his hands before the fight with B-Hop. Apparently, he was using two levels of gauze and tape and should have only been using one level (or, he was putting tape on his hands 1st and should have put gauze on first). I don't remember the specifics, but Nazeem caught it (and we know what happened in that fight - although it probably wasn't because of the hand wraps)
