Hearns boxing ability is greatly underrated.. Now how good was Jones chin prime??? There was never anyone good enough to show us... I'd bet Hearns closes that gap and can land clean, but so can Jones... I think the Hitman is just a better fighter... Good footwork , the right amount of speed and the timing to offset Jones and put him on retreat...

Jones destroys just about anyone u can name 168 and down. I don't care if they are legendary hof or whatever. I saw with my own eyes a in jones anfighter that defied everything that I had witnessed in the ring up till that point. Hearns is food for jones. Let's kot forget hearns was always chiny jones chinnfailed him after his heavyweight trip.
    Jones tko 6

Tall guys were made for Jones as he could jump in with those looping punches and hit them so hard they'd end up looking like he'd shot them stone dead. Those were the same punches Leonard had to use to catch Hearns and take him out. I'd imagine Jones would back off and maintain distance for a while, looking for an opening and then leap in with something very heavy that would probably end Hearns night. Jones by KO.

RJJ v. any fighter in history at MW = RJJ by decision. Unless he's feeling mean, then it's RJJ by KO

Gotta pick Jones in the mid to late rounds.

He'll land his shots, Hearns' legs and chin ultimately betray him.

but Hearns had a bigger punch than Jones. Who's to say what would have happened if Hearns landed?

Hearns still had good power at the weight.

    Hearns by BRUTAL early KO.
Hearns has the best right hand p4p of all time and we all know roys chin isnt the best.
Hearns gets at him and takes him out early

Hearn's right hand would have kept in the fight up till the very end but I think Jones would have had too much for him. Hearns never really had the best balance or chin and I think Jones keeps him moving and off balance then pot-shots him with bombs from the outside.

Jones by KO as soon as he lands clean!
